Default Window Net /NASA CCR/ Roll Cage Question

With all of the recent roll over discussions I'd like to add a net to my Focus that will be competing in the TT classes at this upcoming event. It seems the CCR states these MUST be affixed to a roll cage. In the past I've used nets and welded the top points to inner roof structure and the bottom to inner door structure, but that was for limited scrutiny circle track stuff. I plan to complete a simple roll bar for this event, but wasnt counting on installing anything forward of the main hoop. I can see putting in a forward hoop for the top mounting, but as this car does see some limited street use, I really dont want to have a horizontal or diagonal door bar impeding ingress/egress.

Is there any slack in the window net install? Can I get away with just welding in to existing structure? Can I install just the forward hoop and do the bottom mounts to inner door? Leave it out all together? Or do I bite the bullet and do the whole cage thing...

Thanx in advance.

Window net is not required for TT, but if it is used, you must install it correctly.

Make sure you wear Nomax when you have a window net in the car. Window nets cannot be installed on the door. they can only be installed on the roll cage.

If you only have roll bar or a roll-cage without side bars, I don't know how you'll be able to install one correctly. Remember eventhough you don't have to install a window net for TT, if you do install on it must follow NASA CCRs.
