headman does not make headers for the spi.Never heard of spyder
get a set of escort gt headers(cheap but a lot of chop and welding) from a junkyard or long tube zetec headers(more money but less chop and weld) .

According to our SPI forum lists you can use an 86-90 escort gt header. Look in the main SPI forum under "SPI aftermarket parts list" look for the escort gt header and h2oboy's how-to. It's my understanding that there is a bit of cutting and welding involved. There used to be active pictures you could give to a shop and have them do it for you. I don't think they work anymore. Not sure about zetec long tubes, hadn't heard that before.

zectec headers are almost a perfect fit,you need to chop the top half of the flange then drill new bolt holes.
I can post some pics of the swap if you like ![]()

there is some welding involved, you have to fill in the old bolt holes and weld shut the egr tube on the headers.

for the escort header, you just need to chop some length off the bottom end, move the 'y' connection foward, and mate it with the flange on the flex pipe. I just cut the bottom few inches off the cat pipe and welded it to the EGT header, so the flange mating was perfect.

warning: 4-1 headers, 2.5 flex and 2.5 magnaflow makes for a very loud car,it sounds like an 89' (fc3s) rx7,but put your foot in it and you'll get more raspy bmw tones than most people can handle.
4k rpm's in neutral will set off car alarms,no joke I've done it twice. ![]()
