SPI focus an SPI escort ???

first of thanks for reading an giving me advice..

ok my car a 2001 ford focus with the spi soch engine (rod knock) but i found a great running 98 for escort engine from my buddies moms wreck escort , i know the cylinder head are no the same , so if i put my focus head(good head btw) on the escort block so the i can bolt the mount down, will it be able to work for my focus an will the tranny bolt to it... also will the axles work with the escort block thanks

The engines are twins in everything except bolt patterns. You can use the internals from the Escort block, but the block itself i'm pretty sure does not bolt up.
