What about the struts and shocks to go with them? No sense in lowering the car without all the right equipment. Since these won't fit '05 shocks and struts are you guys working on them. Any ETA??

No ETA on shocks and struts. 95% of of people buy just the springs. These are guaranteed and have been tested to fit 06 Foci.

95%. huh. I would venture to say that number is WAAAAY over rated. Guaranteed to what? Fit? What about the stock shocks and struts. If you can guarntee that by putting the springs on my '06 focus to lower it an inch and a half will NOT blow my shocks and struts I will by them right now.

Fact is it's only HALF the job. Great job for Steeda coming to market quick with the springs. But in all honesty you can't tell me that you would reccomend putting these on with the factory shocks and struts.

And just a quick view of Focaljet AND the for-sale AND the WTB forums says that 95% people buy shocks/struts with their springs not the other way around.

Don't get me wrong I love Steeda's product. I'm not knocking there products at all. But if you're going to do something do it right. At least thats how I see it.

No, no just read what they posted. They ALL bought them at the same time. Maybe not from the same place or vendor but they put them on at the same time. 'Cause most people do it right the first time.

Never mind. I get owned either way. No matter what I say, you will think there is not a market for shocks/struts and Steeda has springs but no shocks/struts. So I still can't lower my '06. Steeda FTW, me....I'll just have to keep checking back for updates.

I did give him a break, thats why I said I will keep checking back for updates. Besides he is the Rep for Steeda here on Focaljet. If I can't tell him what I want or what I think a good suggestion for Steeda is WHO WOULD I TELL??

Anyways I know he has no control over what Steeda makes or produces or sells. But if nobody pipes up then no results come out of it. And to be honest it was this comment that got me going>>

First off, a community such as FocalJet is a very specialized group of people. Or should I say enthusiast. These forums and FF are just a small sampling of the Focus owners out there. So it is very difficult to get the broad picture of what the mass of Focus owners do. Not everyone is so into this as you all. The larger market just wants to lower their car, get some phat rims and tint their windows. And I agree 100%, there is the market, like you all, that want to do anything that they can possibly do for their car.

We fulfill orders from all over the world and all sorts of taste at Steeda.

The actual numbers may not be as high as 95%, but there are far more people that buy just the springs without shocks and struts. I was told actual numbers are 80%-90%.

We do offer springs, shocks and struts for '00-'05 at Steeda. That is what I based my comment on. The springs are a Steeda engineered product and we have other suppliers that we sell shocks and struts for. At this point we have to wait for our suppliers to manufacture '06 and up shock and struts. I even went over to the sales office today to see if I was wrong and spoke to the guys that take your orders on the phone and process the orders on our websites. They said far more people buy just the springs and gave me the 80%-90% numbers.

Now maybe its just because we make the best quality springs on the market

and are resellers for the shocks and struts. Our shocks have the best spring rates in the market. You don't need to get new shocks and struts if you get Steeda springs. I can't say that about our competitors though. I'm not saying that better shocks and struts wouldn't help any ride, I'm just saying they are not required with our springs. Maybe people just come to use for the springs and get the shocks and struts somewhere else. But what I remarked about is based on actual sales that are shipped out our doors at Steeda. I was told that people that go for the SVT setups do tend to do the entire package at one time. But they are a small number compared to the sales of our springs.

I personally only had my springs replaced. We do offer shocks and struts for my car. I just didn't feel a need to get them.

Keep in mind that the Focus market is a budget oriented crowd. (Myself included) This also has a large impact on what people get for their own cars. How many FocalJet readers search ebay for hours to save $25 on a part? Now if we were to talk about the Mustang crowd the numbers would be completely different.

Larry, since you know what happened to me with those H&R's the were "supposed" to fit my '06, I am just being cautios. Do you know if anyone had these installed on a ST model? That is my most important question to you I guess. Also another +1 thumbs up for getting these springs done so quickly. I figure if I get these from my local steeda dealer and get them installed and the oem struts give out after a year or two, by that time you will have a line of shocks and struts for the '06.

I will be getting these as I am an impatient bastard (even though that's not what I posted yesterday lol) so look for some pics of my ride a few weeks from now.

And of course congrats on the child, may you have a happy healthy, car nut in the works
