Thats exactly what i would aim for ifi could make the kit. Use the stock SVT rotor that is already decently sized and couple it with a good 4 pot caliper. The pbr stuff also to me seems nothing more than marginally better than OEM.

All the kit would need would be 2 calipers, pads, and brackets. Possibly lines if the stockers wont reach. Would a bigger master cylinder be needed to use 4 pot calipers ?

Wrong. Ford had claimed this a while ago, but I saw two 07 SES sedans today with the safety package (ABS+SAB) and rear drums.

Im convinced that if the kit is listed below 500, I will buy it as soon as its availible. that is, only if there is proof that the product is going to work properly. Not saying your products are trash, just its my brakes u know? Also, ford parts, as stated b4, most likely will cost more. just keep us updated!!

I would definately be in if the kit was UNDER $500. Anything above, and I would rather source the parts from an auto recycler and DIY. Steeda should be able to do a rear swap kit with hawk pads and either powerslot or brembo regular discs for well under $500.00 and still keep the lights on

Your stock MC would work fine.

I've seen monster 4 pot fronts with 2 pot rears still on the stock MC with no problems.

I'm not sure on this, but I think the factory SVT MC is even beefier than the standered ZX3 MC.

So from what I've gathered, it looks like the majority are looking for a rear upgrade kit for around $500 with some high perf components if posible like... upgraded rotors, pads, and braided lines.

It also looks like offering the kit with Ford Liscensed Parts would be a plus, but only if the price isn't substantially raised.

Give me something that won't throw off the bias, is easy to source rotors and pads at relatively low cost down the road, and is in the $500 range and I think you have winner. Good luck keeping the kits in stock.

Genuine Ford doesn't necessarily mean stronger or better then aftermarket. Good quality parts will probably be cheaper then the same thing with "FORD" stamped on the side.

I look forward to what comes out of this.

My vote is to do the kit for well under 500 dollars and offer better pads and rotors to those who want them. Me, I would be happy with regular discs and hawk hp pads. I know that the hp pads are probably going to be cheaper than the OE ford pads, it's usually case from my own research.

You understand that high performance pads and rotors cost around $200 on their own right?

How much under $500 would you like to see this kit sell for?

I think $500 is right around where you want to be. There is something magical and round with the price. From what I've heard about breaks, you want to worry more about the pads than you do the rotors. I'd say go for some Hawk pads, non-braided brake lines (people can always upgrade that themselves) and some SVT size rotors.

$500 sounds fair. Also I would make sure the pads provided are street/street performance pads and not pure performance pads. Something comparable to like Mintex or what not.

This is exactly what I've been looking for. 500 bones sounds great. I myself would want to upgrade pads, rotors and lines but I could always do that later. I'm also interested in a multi piston front since svt's won't fit under my 15" slipstreams. Please Please Please.....PRODUCE THE REAR DISC CONVERSION KIT!!!!!!

anxiously awaiting outcome.....@ $500 is perfect. genuine ford parts are definitetly not a must as long as substituted part is of good quality.

It's 300 for all the other parts to swap out and convert? If it is what it is, then so be it. How many parts are involved? Is it complicated, requiring things like new wheel hubs, etc? I am sure with Steeda's buying power, and connections to other parts vendors; the factor of economy of scale could bring the price of the kits down significantly.

My guess is that the target market would bare the cost if it isn't dramatically higher then the cost of pads and rotor's themselves. The justification has to exist, as always.

Ok if you have an FR SVT kit sold complete f+r for 920$ and a front svt kit conv sold by cfm at 470-500$ the kit to be competetive should cost around 450 $ with OEM or similar/better quality parts. Then there should be options adding performance pads/discs/calipers with extra cost each. Customers need options to be satisfied and feel happy

I'd be in if you could bring it to market for about $400 for the rears...at least ... I'd be looking into it very closely.

Come out with this kit already. I need to do brakes in the next few months

If not, Fred will be helping me piece together a kit.
