plz don't make me drill anything, i want complete bolt on. and keep it under 700.

take off drums, take off knuckle, new knuckle on, caliper and disc on, new brake line.. done..

it could be a 2 hour swap

ABS on the 2007+includes rear disks. For almost everyone else, ABS is independent of rear brake type. I personally have drums and ABS.
The thing I would like the most is better pedal response, as it feels a bit spongy. something like an air pocket after a very long/thin pipe. Takes a while to fully depress the pedal.

I hate drums in the rear. I think the one thing that has always kept me away from converting my rear drums to discs on any of my cars was the price. I refuse to pay $1000+ for discs in the back. My drums aren't THAT bad.

Otherwise drums haven't done me much wrong but they have their quirks. 1st off they rust very quickly unless painted and even then mine rusted. The adjusting mechanism is always screwy with me. They don't stop very well compared to discs of course.

So if these things were a lower price, which I doubt they'll be, I'd buy them. I just can't see someone selling the parts new for a lower price.

will sell lots in Europe cos rear disc conversions cost a fortune here inside ford - I remember when I asked them they wanted 2500 usd ...seriously! . I beleive given the fact that 800usd is the SVT kit, 500 usd is ok for me to buy it!

Nope, there are many rear drum equipped ZX3's out there with ABS.

Drilling allows a margin for human error, and also complicates the install.

Our kit would use all Liscensed Ford parts, and be direct bolt on.

We're currently running the SVT rear disk set up on our #22 car, with upgraded rotors and pads.

Our kit would probably pretty similiar to the SVT kit, but I can't give exact details yet.

This is exactly our goal. We don't want there to be any drilling to complicate the install or raise the chances of installation error.

Bolt on is the way to go in our eyes.

I see that you retail the FRP SVT convo kit.

Our goal is to produce another option, something different than the standered SVT kit that is widely avalible, and hopefully make it a cheaper one.

Sounds like a quality set of stainless braided brake lines will cure alot of your problem.

With factory rubber lines, when you depress your brake pedal, the pressure build up in the line causes the weak rubber to expand causing "spongy" pedal feel and delayed response.

Stainless braided lines are designed to not allow line expansion and greatly improve pedal feel and response.

These new lines teamed up with a set of high performance front rotors and pads will GREATLY improve your braking.

-And also a few of you would like to see a multi-piston front option.

Would it make a big difference to you all if the parts used in our kits were Liscensed Ford parts or not?

as long as it works and it's a quality product, I don't think it matters. a "licensed Ford" option is going to cost extra for a name badge. Generic Vs. Branded....

I think almost everyone agrees that most aftermarket products are generally better quality than OEM and also generally cheaper (a generalization, some aftermarket companies out there are pretty crappy regardles).

But take a poll. If people are willing to pay a premium for a name, then by all means, sell it.

And an ability to change out the rotors if you wanted too down the road (not an odd size).

I'd buy. I've priced out replacing mine with SVT setup already but would love another option.

NO. Genuine Ford Parts would just mean more money. Aftermarket parts are just as good if not better than Genuine Ford. As mentioned above, as long as the kit carries quality parts, has a low price and requires a simple install then I'm all for it and this would be the first bolton I've bought for the Focus in a long while.

Would be nice to see something like a 4 pot willwood. But use the stock rotors no 2 piece stuff, would help keep the cost down. Baer does nothing for me its hardly an upgrade, PBR caliper is to OEM for me.
