The FC tubular control arms had a few catestrophic failures. Thus, they had a very bad reputation here & no one else wanted to use them. There's probably a market for a new & improved design, but the old ones will probably sit on the shelves till they rot, or are purchased by newer focus owners unaware of the previous failures.

Again, sorry for stepping on toes here, but I didn't see it mentioned in this thread yet & thought that it was important for any potential customers to at least be able to make an informed decision.

What you dont know is one set of the front control arm have been reported broken

I personally had a set of the front control arms, driving thru Baltimores terrible streets for 4 years with out an issue

I also had a set of the rear blue control arms on both on my cars with out an issue!!!

I completely redid my 2007 ZX3 suspension along with the SVT brake kit. I used the tubular front control arms. Everything was dialed in properly and properly torqued. I had a very good front-end guy go over everything and align the front and rear using Leo's recommended settings.

Pulling out of a parking lot making a left-hand turn and accelerating to about 35mph...bang...no steering or brakes or power. The right control arm had dropped out of the new SVT knuckle and snapped my axle in two and tore up things pretty well. I don't trust them now...running 2004 stock arms with poly bushings. I'll sell them for cheap if anyone is interested.

snapped ur axle in two?? i dont thing the control a had anything to o with that...could be wrong but dont see how thats possible..
