Default Steeda Taurus ???

Just wondering if Steeda would ever do a Steeda Taurus now that the styling is similar to the Fusion. Please let me know since I would be interested in case I need a car that would be bigger than a Fusion or a Focus.

Thanks.

From Fordbuyer on BON ...

Quote:
Driving on I-275 North today going through Livonia just south of 7 Mile, in lane next to me a 2008 Taurus passes me with heavily camouflaged front end and dual exhaust and tail pipes. It was definitely a test mule, and if front end had not been so camouflaged, I would have thought Ford was just testing new drivetrain using Taurus as platform. But the heavily camouflaged front end leads me to speculate further. Wish I could have taken pic of it, but any ideas about what this may mean. Looks to me like Ford is already hard at work changing present Taurus and maybe going to even more powerful engine. Or maybe Ford is just trying to completely camouflage everything they are doing as these vehicles are tested in public. However, I do doubt if present Taurus will be in its present form for 3 years at the outside.

The FreeStyle is being rebadged a Taurus. Because the Freestyle isn't selling. It's supposed to have the V6 and transmission out of the Edge.

I always wanted a SHO 96-99. The cam gears like to shear and destroy the engine.

After seeing the pic above, the Taurus might be a car I'd get in the future. Perhaps, if it did have an styling package and tweaked motor, I'd take the dive. SHO...that be quite interesting if they offer it now that they brought the car back.

the above pictures is not the new taurus though, it is indeed the fusion. the taurus simply looks like an older fusion without the angles.

I think the person who posted the pic referenced it at the Steeda Fusion and not as a Steeda Taurus. I had asked the question if a Steeda Taurus would be something that Steeda would be doing in the future.

Yes, that is a Steeda Fusion in the picture.

That picture was taken in the far back of the buildings here. Were you aimlessly walking around?
