Default Need help for rear sway bar

Hope to install my progress rear sway bar this weekend. The instructions call for jacking up the rear and setting it on jack stands, and removing the wheels. Is wheel removal necessary or does it just make it easier. Also, where is the best location to place the jack stands without doing damage to the underside? If you can, please respond by this weekend, because I would like to get them installed this Saturday.
Thanks in advance!

This is easily done without lifting the car, and without taking the wheels off.

You could do it quite easily if you had a little hill or bump you could back over. Or back the car up a set of ramps. You just need to raise the rear end a few inches to be able to crawl underneath. Just don't forget to chock the wheels.

The front is a real Biatch!

I tried to do it, but aborted. If you knew me, the fact that I gave up, would be an indicator of extreme difficulty.

It's not hard technically, it's not rocket science. Just all my bolts were frozen, so I'm waiting until I can get my air tools back.

Hey there P-51! Thanks for the info. I have a set of ramps so it sounds like it shouldn't be to much involved here. Glad I don't have to go through all the wheel removal and jack stand stuff.
Thanks again!
