Topic says it all, I just want to know who hasn't gotten an alignment after they had their springs installed and if they noticed any unusual tire wear.

I was going to get one and they hooked everything up and said that I didn't need one. So there you have it.

i didnt... and was just going to be careful... like if i see abnormal thread wear... then go in for alignment... but didnt have any problems yet!

I didn't get an alignment and my rear tires were worn smooth toward the outside within 7000 miles. IOW, I have a little less than 11000 miles on my car and have new tires on the rear. Not getting the alignment was a $260 mistake.

I havent gotten a wheel alignment after I got my H&R springs installed and that was the beginning of November and it is all fine and dandy today!

I thought negative camber affected the inside of the tires more???

i.e. I thought the insides would wear faster than the outsides?

I'm having a tire wear problem on the inside of my right rear tire, but I just put the springs on last week, so I think it's been a problem, I just aven't noticed it until I started looking for it after the springs.....

I really needed an excuse to go to 40 series on the back anyway.... another $270

After my spring installation, I had a slight amount of toe in. Consequently, my rear tires were always loaded on the outside. Once they wore down enough, I almost had an accident in the rain. When one tire lost traction, the other pushed my rear until the other tire caught traction. If you didn't need an alignment, consider yourself lucky. Almost any time you have any suspension work done, get an alignment. That includes when replacing the shocks as well.

i didn't. anything over 1.5" may need it, but i didn't notice anything with my h&r's. it's all good.

Well I just got mine done, and they told me I needed an alignment. Another $50 bucks. Oh well! They also recommended that I come back in three weeks for another alignment, this one would be free though.

Not many kilometers on them yet maybe 2000 but have yet to notice anything that would concearn me. I'll wait for new rims, tires and then i'll try to sqeeze a free alignment out of them.

The sub enclosure in my trunk weighs 100 lbs and it sits at the very back side of the trunk. (2 Rockford Power 12s and a beefy enclosure) Add about another 20-30 pounds for the amps, hinged floor and wiring. That dropped my rear end about 1-2" and I had the alignment done after a few months. I never noticed any weird tire wear.

The car handles so much better without that box, but its worth having it....

I haven't gotten an allignment yet. I'm not going to until I get my rims.. it would be a waste of cash because I will probably get them in a couple months

Wheels and tires shouldn't affect your alignment that much--mine wasn't off at all when I got my wheels on after lowering/aligning my car.

i change my mind... actually... i overlooked my abnormal wear on the inside tire of my two fronts after my drop. I had them on for quite a while... under a year... so... i actually recommend a alignment after the drop. I have the progress 1.8.... not sure of the eibach... so.. yeah.

the bolts on the rear lower arms are cams not plain bolts ,, two wrenches and you can do it yourself with out a shop or a hoist..
same idea up front.. I watched the guy do it today,,
here's the before and after sheet
Todays alignment Intrax springs 1.8 drop (already settled by Shmee) less than an hour@$70 canadian so why not do it??
the camber is easy to adjust / so it's also easy to screw up during the rear on spring install
(make sure to mark the camber lowerarm bolt positions) you should be able to eyeball adjust camber after first returning them to the original position.
both before and after numbers are shown..
