Default FS stress bar installed

Just wanted to let whoever this may help know that I installed my FS stress bar yesterday and it was the easiest mod yet. Took every bit of 5 minutes. I did take the time to borrow a torque wrench and torque it to 25 ft/lbs. In case anyone is wondering like I was about the fit, I have a ractive filter and the bar fit without even touching the filter. Easy installation and a great product. I just haven't been able to try it out yet because we have snow ice and slush on the roads and that means it is go-slow time.

it really is the easiest mod i've done by far... if you can unscrew nuts and bolts, then you can install this bar. i had to turn my intake a little so it wouldn't rub against the bar, but now it's great!

all I did was tighten them back down with as much force as it took to get them off. Basically take them down, and pull a little. 25 ft/lbs is not a lot of torque. I'll make it exact when I have access to a torque wrench.

Yea couldn't be easier, I'll have to take it off when/if the weather ever breaks to see what kind of difference it makes. Now I'm waiting for the rear bar to come to market.

focusZoomin, thanks for the info. I think I'll wait for the FocusSport one. It didn't appear to interfere so much with the cargo area. It would be hard to fill up the trunk at BJ's with that baby in.

Well, after a 2nd look at the FS bar there probably isn't much difference. I still think I'm going to wait for FS. Thanks again.

I got mine done on friday. But I was told by Tony D to Torque the bolts to 18 lbs. I have the stock air box in place along w/ that stupid resonator box that sits on my valve cover and the stress bar fits no problems at all. I got to test mine out on friday. I LIKES Very Much.
