A guy I know here pulled the blue-prints on these springs. Calculations based on the spring rate and free-length show they should lower the car just over an inch.

I like it!

I will most likely be trying these on with my Konis. I'll get the bumpstops too. The bumpstops are key here.

Are there p/n's for SVT specific bumpstops?

I put the SVT rear springs and rear swaybar on my ZTS ( will do the front springs after I get struts/shocks ).

With just the rear SVT springs, the back is almost 3/4 inch lower ( plenty of driving done for them to settle in ).

Also, I put just the springs on first and noticed some improvement in handling. Later, after adding the SVT/S2 rear swaybar ( just greased the stock bushings and reused them ) it handles much better in the turns.

Here is a new pic and an old one from similar angles that shows the ride height difference pretty well.
The stock S2.

With the SVT springs.

fordmazdaboy told me that the rear springs are on national back order until June 20. So, on June 20, I am ordering a set.

Ooops, just found out. The drawing was wrong. A European SVE engineer is saying the drop is only 1/2" to 3/4", which agrees with what you measured.

Is there any way we can get a side shot of the two for comparison, or at least a side shot of the SVT suspension? Just wanna get a better look.

It looks great to me so far! I'm liking this more and more!

P-51 can you find out the part numbers for SVT dampers? I know the front struts are on fordmazdaboys list, but nohting for the back.

Has anyone order the SVT dampers yet?

I wonder how long until Ford jacks the price, like the Sony Xplod faceplate...

Here's a side on shot I took. I didn't realize how the bad the lighting was until I got the pic on my PC.

Here's another old one to compare.

I've pretty much decided this is the route I am going. I'm dumping my Eibach Pro Kit for the SVT set-up. Just gonna wait until everything is available. I am running 215/45-17 and am getting too much rub for my liking. And I have grown attached to the look of tire size with my wheels.

It sounds like you're going for a great set-up there.
Have you done sway-bars yet? On the easier/cheaper end, you could do the SVT rear bar, or the ProgressSport rear bar only, and see a bit of improvement, OR for more $$ and effort, you could do the full Eibach F&R setup...??

So this setup should also work on a Street Edition Wagon? My wife has prohibited me from "lowering" our car, but if I could put some Ford SVT Springs on..... That would probably work. Does anyone see that the increased weight(especially the rear) would cause a problem using these (SVT) Springs?

They should work just fine.
I don't remember the Street Edition wagon's Spring Rates to know if there's a gain or not. If there is, a gain is a gain, even if it's only a tad on the rates + the appropriately lower center of gravity.
Can anyone else confirm that particular wagon's spring rates?

Michaelxi - As of now my suspension is bone stock. Yea, you read my mind...SVT sway-bar. Although, I think I might hold off for now and see how it feels with just the springs, shocks and bushings. I'm still really learning about suspension and I think this could be a good exercise. I'll run the first few auto-x events bone stock. The next few I'll run with the SVT spring/koni setup. Then at the end of the season I'll add a rear bar.

Hold up on the wagon thing. The wagon has a different rear suspension. The shocks are completely different and I think the springs are much taller too.

But would there be a problem w/ the Swap?...
.....Awaiting your research, Rob...
Don't forget that he's got the "Street Edition" Wagon....

The wagon rear suspension is totaly different as P-51 said. Different means the parts won't work on the wagon any better tha F150 suspension parts will. I'm sure you could get 'em in there, if you have a machine shop and custom fabricate the whole thing. The standard wagon springs would stiffen the suspension up a bit but would probably change the balence in an unfavorable way compared to the Street Ed. setup. I'm sure there has to be spring similar to the SVT available in europe, but then trying to get them would probably be very inefficiant in terms of cost. [scratch head]Not sure what to tell you about the wagon, it really is a different animal[/scratch head]

Are there any other ford parts websites besides ford parts online? They don't have one of the SVT front dampers

Sorry,
I was under the impression that all dimensions were the same, just heavier spring rates for the wagon....
What exactly ARE the differences, and how is there a Sed Wagon if it's not got the Sed Suspension?

I got my S2 rear sway bar for $56.97.

I got it from Sentry Auto Group, along with other SVT parts. I like them. They are cheaper than parts.com. However, there is no online catalog, you have to request a quote. But its worth it!
