Thanks so much man. I just aquired svt sway bars for my 06 zx3 and was curious if they shared the same front bar, or if it was different.

Is the Intrax kit the same as the Eibach kit? (they are the same size) Or does it at least perform as well?

I believe the intrax bars are rebadged eibach bars.
regardless. if both bars are the same, diameter, and solid or hollow tubing, both will act the same.

In looking at sway bar bushings for my '02 SVT I noticed a discrepancy in front swaybar sizes on the SVT site.
My notes (not sure the original source) had a 22mm bar. This sticky and the SVT site says 21mm. My owner's guide says 21mm. When I compared '02-'04 on the SVT site, it shows that the '03-'04 has 22mm. Are there 2 different sizes?

Could we add Auto-X ZTS's adjustable rear bar to this list? It's a well-made piece by Saner, and available through Auto-X ZTS himself.
IIRC, it's a 'natural' 24mm bar, with adjustment that will give you the equivalent of a 22.5 and 25mm bar. Price is very good, too. |

I'd bet big dollars it is a typo, but the quickest way to find out is to take a pair of calipers to a 03-04.

no, you'll need to construct clamps or purchase buscuitninjas clamps to attach teh rear sway to the subframe of an 05+ model

No my question was about using the 06 ST or SES version of the sway bar from teh same year. Guess I should have made it more clear.

unless your 05+ model currently has a rear sway bar, which only the SES and ST have factory rear bars...you'll need to build or buy clamps for it since the 05+ rear subframes don't all have accomodations for the bars.

Or buy the FRPP adjustable subframe to gain mounts for a sway bar and add rear camber adjustment. I know with your connections at Ford you can get it for around $180-190.

Assuming I'm putting these (21mm front and 20mm rear) on an '01 ZX3 with otherwise stock suspension, would anyone recommend a particular brand? I notice further up someone said "Don't go with Marcy", hence my curiosity.
Also, would anyone suggest sizes other than the ones listed above? This will primarily be a daily driver, so nothing extreme.

Anyone have a brand recommendation (or brands to flat-out avoid)? I notice, for instance, Eibach has a different sized set for the Focus on their site, and no listing at all for the 21/20 bars. I'm guessing they make them, but don't show them on the site (for whatever reason). Is this pretty much the case with any manufacturer? Sorry to keep poking, but I want to make sure I'm doing stuff right the first time.

the factory sway bars, that come on your car from teh dealer are 21mm front / 20 mm rear.
there aren't any aftermarket bars in that size.

Can I swap my SPI front sway for the SVT front sway or would I be better off going with a heftier aftermarket one from the likes of Eibach or H&R?

The SVT bars are actually pretty good, but if you're going crazy (which i really doubt), get a set of Eibach's.

For reference, in the 08 announcement, it is stated the front sway bar diameters on the 08+ have changed:
15" wheels (no rear bar?): 18mm -> 20mm 16" wheels (??mm rear bar?): 21mm -> 22mm |

With a stock front swaybar that is a daily driver but also sees a bit of track, would a 25 or 24mm bar be ok?
I never see snow since I live in florida, but I do see alot of rain which makes auto-x's adjustable bar look tempting, does anyone know anything about the quality or where to get one. |
