I agree disrupter, rain+too stiff suspension=scary, but that makes me even more interested on auto-x's, so I can leave it in "low" setting for everyday, then on track days change it to "high".
I have to lift my car up to take off my street rims/tires anyway |

a factory 22mm front sway bar came on the ZTW Street Edition Wagons. They cost about $50 or about there IIRC from Steve

Maybe someone (mod or jptech2004) should update the list with the 08 and ZTW Street Edition specs

Does anyone have the stock SVT part numbers for rear swaybar bushings, clamps, and endlinks? I have searched everywhere and can't find that info. This is for a 2005 ZX5 SE with biscuitninja's rear sway bar clamps. Thanks! Brad

I think your best bet would be to give Steve @ Tousley ford a call.
1.800.328.9552 he's a member of the 'Jet under FORDSVTPARTS and he offers prices of 10% over his cost. he's also a wiz with focus parts and their associated numbers and finding you the right thing

i'm currrently running the sportline springs/dampers on 215-35-18 on a 2005 zx3-s Will putting a rear sway bar in limit the rear travel when I hit bumps? I get rub in the rear when going over moderate bumps, sometimes on the freeway. I know a rear sway will limit body roll when cornering (i also encounter rub when being moderately agressive), but like I said, my main concern is avoiding the rub when I hit bumps head-on. I am trying to work-around rolling the fenders if possible.
Thanks |

the sway bar should have little affect on strait line driving w/ the exception that if the left wheel hits a bump some of the force will travle to the right side causing bolth to compress a little.

by that logic, some of the energy is transferred to the other side which should help with those pesky bumps

In general, a swaybar: for unequal bumps between two sides (or roll) => higher spring rates for equal bumps between two sides => nothing |

Whiteline out of Australia has some nice F&R swaybars with some high quality endlinks available. I don't know if I can give you the vendor here or not. If not, then try a search on google or ebay.

there should be an 18mm one up front.
take a look again, you'll have to look either at the strut ends or on top of the subframe to see it.

If you have the bushing and endlink numbers, please publish them. I am trying to up grade the bushings and endlinks of my 04 SVTF. I am confused about what the sway bar sizes are on the 04 SVTF. I have a page printed out from the SVT Archive that states that the 03 and 04 SVTFs have a 22mm stablizer bar on the front and a 21mm stablizer bar on the rear. So I am going to try to find the part #s on my bars and compare them to the above #s. Thank you in advance.

it was a typo. all SVTs have 21mm front/rear sway bars.
AFAIK only street edition wagons have 22mm front swaybars. www.newedgeperformance.com carries Prothane suspension bushings individually and the total kits. Tony D is the man and runs a very reputable FJ sponsoring business.

They didn't have anything "wicked" The only bar that may qualify as "wicked" would be the steeda race bar which is 28.5mm and should really only be on a race car

Is there a prothane bushing kit for the front SVT bar? I know there is one for the back..if replacing the bushings on the SVT bar(s) would it make the car handle just a little better...one more question does the Torque bar for inside the trunk help any roll off on the butt end of the chasis?
