Default Bad tire wear? Need HELP!!!

I have a 2001 Focus sedan, it has a 2 inch drop and 205/40ZR17's. The inside of the tires are wearing very bad. I am going to get it aligned today. WHat should the alignment be set at for best tire wear? Thanks

If no alignment was done and nothing's been hit after the 2 inch drop, then the front is toe'd out too much and the rear is toe'd in too much and has too much negative camber.

Improper toe settings have more effect on tire wear than camber (within the confines of an unaltered Focus).

Ideally, you should have the badly worn tires replaced before having the aligment performed, but a proper alignment will slightly prolong the life of those tires that are badly worn.

The shop will know what specs to adjust to, but if in doubt, shoot for zero front toe (camber is unadjustable) and 0.15 - 0.20 degree per side rear toe-in with approx. 1.5 degree negative camber per side (rear).

Good luck.

Camber? You're an idiot.

You forgot to say TOE, Norman.

Those are aggressive settings and should be used for a total performance mindset (like yours3lf) - but not necessarily for a daily driver.

To be on the safe side, I recommended a somewhat docile, OE setting. It's actually what a stock SVT Focus is set to.
