The 06 and 07s are the same. We are in the same boat you are. Products will come.

I'm pretty sure that the swaybars have not changed, therefore they should fit just fine on your ST

Ok, what about the 07 Sedan, are they the same as the 06. What about dampeners for the 07? I want to do springs and dampeners.

You have to wait for the 08's to come out before they'll make springs for the 07's.

I also want to add that my clamps will work on a 06-07, as I have quietly bolted them up to some "volunteers" cars....

I certainly hope that is not the case. From what I can gather, companies like Tokico and Eibach are already developing the parts for the '06+ cars. It just takes time. If I lived closer to some of the manufacturers I'd offer to do beta-testing (Progress, in Cali comes to mind!) |

If you don't already have a rear swaybar, you'll need to either purchase a new rear subframe with mouning points or make (or purchase from biscuitninja) a retro-fit kit. That's all it'll take. If you do already have a swaybar it will bolt right up

They all bolt on. You just have to fab up brakets for one (or buy some from the [FJ] member called biscuitninja - he sells ones that he designed) if your car didn't come with a swaybar from the factory. The other option if you don't already have the mounting points on your car is to buy a rear subframe that DOES have the mounting points, but that can be expensive. Ford screwed the lower-option-level-Focus buyers in '05 when they quit putting swaybars on every one of the ZX3 trim levels from the factory (I think only the SES comes with one now). Here is a link to a thread from last year when my buddy and I installed a factory swaybar on his '05 ZX3 S: http://forums.focaljet.com/suspensio...-05-zx3-s.html

I am going to trade my black focus in on the new 07... could i just "jack" the sway bar and stuff off of it? or would that screw the suspension up?

Uh, you'd have to take the whole rear sub-frame.

So it would be alot easier to make the brackets and buy a new rear sway bar from progress?

You could take the sway bar off of your old one. Make sure to get the bushings/brackets and endlinks. Then just get a hold of biscuitninja and get the mounts from him.

I was just wondering if there is a complete kit (shocks/struts/springs) for the '07 focus yet?

Not all of the new ZX3's are missing the rear sway bar. Depending on the trim level some have the rear sway bar.

The SES is the only Focus that comes with a rear sway bar now. S and SE trim levels do NOT have a rear sway bar. |
