Default Which coilover kit to buy...

If some of yall have seen my other post, we had a little "boo-boo" on the way back from New York picking up my new SVT. It broke one coilover (the rear) and probably bent another, so insurance is replacing them, as you cannot buy just one piece of these kits (i dont think, at least....)

Anyway, the SVT had the Ford Racing KW coilover setup on it (i think variant 2?) with the rear springs over the rear shocks, in true coilover form.

I am wanting to get everyones opinion on which coilover setup to get to replace it.

I was told H&R or Koni by some local friends, but wanted to get other opinions.

Koni would be an awesome setup for sure...we have used them and they work awesome. Adjustable ride height and adjustable valving, perfect combination....

Depends on how much money you have to spend.

H&R for me as they have great customer service.

AST has by far the best quality and service center but you have to pay to play and at $5000, they are the real deal.

It also depends on what you are going to do with the car ... If you're planning to do some racing, you might want the H&R PCS w/race springs or Koni's ... If you're just doing normal street driving but looking fr more feel of the road, a less expensive set with non-adjustable damping and not so stiff springs can give you good performance and decent ride quality.

I'm seriously considering the KW V3 Coilovers. The English Focus owners seem to think they make a good road and track setup. Anyone on here have any experience with them?

Price isnt that much of a concern, as my insurance company will be covering up to the original cost of the KW variant 2's (1300'ish).

I am thinking the Koni setup with adjustable valving and ride height.

The H&R set has Bilstien Dampers, They are really great, a bit rough with an empty car but put a heavy seat warmer in there and they are like butter.
