Default ? for those who road race running coil-overs

Just curious what spring rates you are running and how happy you are with it.

I'm running Koni yellows with GC coilover sleeves and Eibach springs. 400# springs in front (with a 19mm sway) and 700# springs in the rear (with a 26mm sway). Pretty happy with this combo, but it can always use some improvement. I run 12-14psi more in the rear tires to get the car to rotate properly.

all that rear rate and sway bar and you STILL have to bump up the rear pressure that much to rotate? Id be scared of some high speed corner oversteer with such a setup

Im running H&R coilovers with linear rate 512 LB springs up front and 400 LB springs in rear with no front sway and a 22mm rear sway. the H&R coilovers have great off the shelf damping even with the higer rates and monotube damper contruction up front

My Koni yellows have been re-valved and shortened 1". No problems at all in high-speed corners. The car is very predictable with this setup.

Nope no oversteer issues at all. As a matter of fact I have a 28mm rear bar on the shelf I'm considering to "help" the rear even more. The only thing that concerns me with running a bar that large is stress on the lower rear control arms (I have the re-enforced SVT control arms).

Are you trying to get the car to oversteer on tight turns under full throttle or something? My current suspension is soft compared to what you are running but I have a big rear sway bar and it tight turns I just ease of the throttle a bit and car oversteers super easy with just lightly letting off of gas and points me in direction I need to go. I just get concerned as I accidentally oversteered going over 100 mph so I don't want car too tail happy.

In the tighter corners I like for the rear to begin to rotate as soon as I come off the brake and before I get back on the gas, then I control any oversteer with the throttle while exiting the corner. I tend to go in to the corners pretty deep before making my turn, and if the rear rotates like I want it I'm already pointed out the exit and I'm able to put the power down and drive pretty much straight out. It doesn't always work out that way though.

wow, yeah with my setup, it rotates fine in slower corners even with the realtivly soft rear rates and bar, but i do get pretty bad over steer in high speed corners(95-130) But then again i DO run a staggared wheel tire setup(235/40/17 on 17x8 front, 215/45/17 on 17x7 rear)
