Default Front Camber Pillowball Mounts

Hi!

Thats what I'm looking for
I want to use those "Front Camber Pillowball Mounts" with my coilovers!
And the only compatible ones I found are from K-Sport but I can't find a shop to order them. And I would need them shipped to Germany, which makes it even more complicated.

Ford Focus DAW 00-up PBFD10 $145.00
http://www.ksportusa.com/asp/pillowb...roduct_id=pm01

Does anyone know if this price is for one piece or a set? And where should I get them?

Thank you!

What coilovers do you have?

I'd probably suggest looking into getting the FSWERKS mounts. They look to be a much beefier part, and you'd be supporting an [FJ] sponsor as well!

Capaldi racing has a very nice similar camber plate that has been tested & proven an awesome setup.

Focus sport has a good setup as mentioned too but it requires their coil setup and it can get costly.

If you are set on K-sport I believe that HT Performance is a K sport vendor. Check out their forum and see if they can help.

I have no experience with the k sport stuff.

Just curious why you want pillowball mounts? I have the k sport coilovers and the pillowball mounts that come with them do not allow you to adjust camber, I don't know if the one they sell individually lets you adjust camber but the picture from link is generic so I would make sure they allow for camber adjustment. If you went with the leo capaldi plates I would wait a bit as they have a new design coming out that I hear is going to be mucch better than current design, as some have had issues with it. If you just want camber adjustment why not go with c-f-m's control arms?

I don't believe FS's kit requires their specific coilover kit. I believe it just requires a coilover kit that doesn't utilize the stock tophat/bearing...

The reason being is that you need a smaller diameter spring and tophat to be able to take advantage of the camber adjustment.

Since the OP already has a set of coilovers, I doubt it would be an issue.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Thank you guys for your responses!

@Nliiitend1
I got TA-Technix Coilovers, it's a little German company so they probably aren't available in the US. The springs got a 60mm inner diameter, which is the same like K-Sports do.
I like those FSWERKS mounts, but it wouldn't be legal in Germany to cut out the towers for that. So I can't go with those.

@pzev04boy
The Capaldi ones look pretty nice. Do you know if they work with coilovers too?
Somehow I can't find information about these on their website.
And I'm going to ask HTPerformance for K-Sport parts

@svo_dave
As far as I know, there are different K-Sport coilovers available, you probably just got the "wrong" ones.
Do you know when the new Capaldi plates will come out? I think I'm going to wait for those before I decide which ones to buy.
And I would LOVE to buy the CFM control arms, but in fact they aren't street legal in Germany too. Sooner or later I'm going to buy them anyways, but in the moment they are to expensive for an illegal part

I would e-mail capaldi and inquire if you wanted more info on their camber plates and when the new models are coming out, they are usually very quick to respond, I believe they have prototypes made and they are in the testing phase of new ones now. I would also make sure if you went with k sport direction that they fit the diameter of springs you have.

This is quoted from k sport " the Front camber kit is something we offered at first, then found them to be problematic with the focus application. "

Translation: The production of these units was not worth the effort since we didn't sell enough of them to make it worth our while.

Actually, it's probably more likely due to the fact that you probably had to take a hole saw to the tops of your strut towers to be able to get any real adjustment out of them, which is a common issue with plates of that design...

Of course, this is just conjecture on my part, but that would be my guess...

^^That could very well be the case too. I do remember seeing a focus for sale recently that was all hacked up to get adjustment out of their kit.
