Question Pro Kit w/18 inch rims, anyone have this setup?

Just installed the Eibach Pro Kit plus on my 03 Comp. Orange EAP and I am now looking at new wheels to put on it in the spring time. I was wondering if anyone on here is rocking 18's with the pro kit..?.. Pics would be awesome if anyone has any. Thanks!

18's? I think it would be a safer bet to go with wheels a bit smaller like 17's or 16's. Most of the people you'll find here will have coil-overs. You may want to look into that as well, they are very pricey but there is a night and day difference. Your style and opinion will change after being on here, promise. LOL
But most of all, Welcome to he Jet!

Somewhere there is a few with 18's but I can't think of any of the top of my head. Depending on the tire size you may rub a little or a lot. Why are you thinking 18's if I can ask, they will be much heavier and more costly?

Both of these cars are on 18s and are a lot lower than an Eibach Pro Kit provides.

You'll probably have to roll your fenders at least a little bit, but if you don't get huge tires then you might now. I would suggest 215/35-18 tires, or 225/35-18 tires if you want a little bit bigger sidewall.

Don't get 225/40-18 tires, those things are freaking monstrous

I had the Eibach Pro Kit on my SVTF with 18's. Ran a 215/40-18 I believe and no need to roll the fenders it fit fine. Of course it looked good but the wheels were heavy and it slowed the car down!

running a 35 sidewall is a good way to bend your wheels. theres nothing wrong with running a 40 sidewall

I was just thinking that an 18 inch rim would look nice on the car. I found an 18 inch wheel I really dig in black and I think it would look sick on with the Comp. Orange. I have the stock EAP wheels on now which I like, but I really wanna go with a black wheel to keep with the rest of the car being all black and orange. The other thing I was thinking about was getting the Ford Racing 15 spoke wheel that look just like the EAP rims in black. And thanks for the welcome Ryan,I appreciate it.

I understand why people get worried about fitting 18s but when you look up an online tire size calculator and compare at 17" with stock tire (215/45) and an 18" with a slightly smaller size (215/40 or 205/40), both are more or less the same size. Both would require the same amount of modifications to fit.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. The height of the 18 inch rims with a 40 or a 35 series tire is really just the same if not slightly different than the stock svt setup of 215/45's. A friend of mine has an Eastwood Fender roller which he and i could do for if needed. I dont know, I always have such a hard time deciding on new sneakers for my cars. lol. I would love 18 inch rims, but like bflesher said, they will be heavier. Ill keep going in cirlces until about a month before Focus Rising 2012 when I will have to make a decision to get 'em on for the show

Unless your going to be racing with the 18" wheels the effect of the weight isn't that great. Also you can find lighter weight 18" wheels. Check out A Prefect Circle's group buy on Team Dynmic wheels.

    And....18x7.5" et37 215/35/18 on about a 2" drop
