Default SVT wheel weight?

Does any one know how much the five star SVT wheels weigh?

Troy or Pam probably do, (they work for SVT) or they could find out for us. Anyone else would just be speculating.

They check up on our forums from time to time, especially this one.

For the record, there user names are svtresearch (Pam) and wrk4svt (Troy). You can do a search in this forum for posts from those usernames if you want to see some of the stuff they have posted or answers they have given in the past. The question you're posing hasn't been discussed before, but the answer will probably interest a lot of other people here.

Unfortunately, sometimes they don't have the answers or just can't give them out yet and in most cases they will post something mentioning that. I just sent Pam an email to check out the SVT Focus Tour thread so hopefully she'll be along sometime this week to give her input here and there.

Thanks I again!! I didn't know about that seaech option. That should help me to not repeat questions they have already answered. I think it is so cool that there are SVT insiders here. I sure hope they can answer my question, I would like to buy those wheels for my ride.

Bump
I did a search for Wheel weights of SVT and this is as close as I could get.
Lookin @ the OZ and not sure if the spinning weight is worth the upgrade?
The local tire shop said SVT 17" wheel could be about 25-28lbs, and the OZ 18" wheel 17lb
@least 8lbs of rotational mass.
( I ditched School that week, oops guess I could have learned something good.)

Just a quick geeky comment...

Probably what matters more about the wheels is how the weight is distributed. A wheel that has more mass in the center is much easier to spin than a wheel that's got lots of mass at the outside. You can try this in your office chair. Spin yourself and move your arms and legs in and out like a figure skater and you'll see what I mean. (Yes I know it looks stupid, just do it anyway, it's fun.) We should really be concerned with rotational inertia more than weight.

Sorry for the geekiness. I'm an engineer and I can't help it.
