Default Vehicle prep notes to look-out for from your dealer...

A couple of notes if you haven’t already done so with your dealer… 1) If you are legal, tell your dealer not to put on the front license plate(usually not a problem, but you have to get your dealer to do this and/or ask him to see the car before prep so you can put a note on the steering column. 2) Tell them not to etch your windows with their profit-making 1-800 id code. My dealer did this without my permission during prep – I would have preferred not have this $300 optional extra. Cheers. Roll-Splat.

Be sure to check tire pressure too. I asked dealer not to detail my car so I could do it myself. Checked fluids before leaving the lot but did not check tire pressures. Did check them two days later only to find all tires pumped to about 50 psi. Evidently they like them hard for the transit to the dealer. Great thing about it however is that my wife rode in the car with them pumped up hard as a rock and still loved the ride.Think I'll get her fitted for a crash helmet.

Davester , your right by doing the prep job yourself , I checked my car before it was prepped and everything was perfect and the next day when I picked it up I found this scuff on the air dam I told them that happened from the idiot prepping it on a drive on rack installing the plate bracket that I did`nt want installed !?,Then the dealership manager tried to tell me that happened when unloading off the transporter? B.S.! well at least im getting a new air dam for free.
