Ford Racing Jet Hot Coated SVT Header - Focaljet

Bye bye ugly heatshield!!!!

Well i never saw any threads regarding this header so i decided to snap a few pics and show off the header. I ordered it through Steve aka FORDSVTPARTS and recieved it today.

First off let me say that i cannot be happier on the way it looks. I mean this thing is just nice. The coating is even and smooth. Very shiney too. Afraid it will be too shiney for my dirty engine bay

So here it is...

it came with a gasket as well.

Looks nice. Wonder how long the shine will last after getting hot so many times. I like the ford racing logo, don't remember seeing it on past ones. Nice buy.

The shine will last less than a month. I had mine coated and it does look good. But the shine will go away after a while. I actually bought a sencond one a few years ago when someone had a clearance sale, 180 for the header and then 150 for the coating. I am thinking of having my original coated in blue to match my seat inserts and having a aluminum plate made to go over the heat sheld bungs with my build number etched into it.

That is a thing of beauty for sure. Love the Ford Racing stamp.

I did my own deal (had the heat shield mounts ground off and the header ceramic coated) and it was never that shiny, more of a matte silver finish. I love it.

Oh, and econorocket, looks like you might have some trouble starting that thing

I have had the FR one on my car for a few months(also from Steve) and it still looks good, not shiny but clean. It matches the VF mounts now colorwise.

Did you paint your dipstick red or did you buy it from somewhere?

Nice. Trying to figure out what to do with my extra svt header. Jet hot/powdercoat. My oem one has some dings in it, just waiting for the dings to become holes.

Ahh...mines just a dull flat black.

I will note that it hasn't lost it's color after who knows how many miles.

Are those dipped or sprayed? What I mean, is it coated inside and out. I seem to recall Slick telling me that the one I have has the coating inside the runners as well.

However, it's been a long day, my memory is fuzzy and I may have been smoking crack or something.
