Default Newer SVT owner needs help what size denso plugs?

CFM says that the ITV22's are the SVT stock heat range for the Denso Iridium spark plugs. But I have read on the forums people saying that the ITV24's are the right heat range and CFM says that is one step too cold? I don't really want to put the wrong plugs in.. Also any recommendations on on wire sets? Or even different plugs?

Just make it easy on yourself and get Motorcraft stock replacement plugs. They run great and there's no confusion. As for wires, just run OEM replacement. A lot of OEM stuff works great.

^^^ He didn't ask you your opinion on what plugs to get, he asked you what heat range of denso's he should get...

To answer your question the ITV24's are what denso's site lists as the stock replacement for the SVTf. That is what I have in mine

All that bmylez is trying to do is make making sure the person knows that just because an after market product is available that it doesn't make it better than the OEM.

I'd keep with Motorcraft brand plugs, but run what you want. AZFS22C, one step colder and copper.

I have 2 SVTF. One NA with OEM platinums, and one Powerworks that runs the AZFS22C.

BTW, try a search. There are 30+ threads just on spark plugs for the SVT.

Gosh, I really hope this place doesn't turn into CEG for Foci.

On the topic of plugs, I'm running the copper Motorcrafts. Don't remember the exact part number, but they're referenced in several threads in SVT Headquarters. I've run them for about 2,000 miles, and I'm already getting some mid-range, partial throttle hesitation. I used the original plugs for 73,000 miles without that problem. I plan to get stock Motorcraft replacements or the Denso plugs in the near future. The coppers work, but you have to keep them changed often to keep the car running best.
