It may not be the bulb, it could be the ballast.

If you don't mind pulling the headlights off the car it's easy enough to check.

Just pull the lights and swap the ballasts from one side to the other and see if the problem switches sides.

A new HID bulb is $188.00.

They are D2S bulbs, and you can get a pair for MUCH cheaper at theretrofitsource.com

Um, yeah. You don't even want to know what the entire assembly costs.

I had the same problem replaced ballast it fixed it for a bit then blew my new bulb. it ended up actually being the ignitor (black piece that twits in behind the light) I got one from someone on the FS section and then bought a new set a bulbs to go with it. Haven't had the problem since

I just ordered a new light the when it did that and it blew again in about a week. Just warning you that might not fix it and you could be out the cost of the bulb. And there a definatly places you can get a pair for around $100 if you search a little.

I did it with one 3m kit and it did work, alittle... For the price I'd spend on getting enough of those kits to fix both lights and the bulb. I'd save money buying one new Mach for 170 and finding a used light with a clear lense for cheap....
