Engine Revving without pushing gas pedal.
Okay guys my SVT just started acting up I have no idea what the hell is going on. I am driving home from school and I notice that my car starts to rev towards 4K rpms when I push the clutch in, when coming to a stop. I thought I was pushing gas while I was pushing the brake. But it kept doing it and then the CEL came on. Anyone heard of this? Every time I push the clutch in, the engine starts revving and then stops when I engage a new gear release the clutch. When I am idling its around 2K instead of normal 1K. Please Help!

do you have a way to datalog the car? im leaning towards a throttle position sensor going bad. its not expensive.

Sounds like a TPS to me.
 Pull the CEL code to be certain.-spatakula

I took it to autozone and had the code pulled and its either the TPS or MAF. I am banking on the TPS due to I just replaced it and probably failed. Warranty FTW! Thanks for the help.

You might start by cleaning the MAF. You said its giving a code for MAF/TPS, but I've also had idle problems with an old PCV valve.
