What do you think my Steeda 2.3 ST would be worth? - Focaljet

First off, sorry if this is in the wrong area, couldn't find an area where this would go.

I'm debating selling my car and was wondering what the price might be if I were to sell it on a retail level, not trade in.

Here is what I got:

2005 ZX4 ST purchased at the end of 08-2005.
9,500 miles
18" Chrome Steeda wheels (one of a kind)
225/35/18 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires with about 2000-3000 miles on them. ($330 each retail)
Steeda Springs
Adjustable Tokico D-Spec shocks
All around Powerslot slotted rotors (one of a kinds) with Green stuff pads and black calipers
Steeda Front Air Damn and upper and lower grille
Steeda tri-ax shifter
brushed aluminum dash kit
white face gauges
alpine head unit with custom ipod install (may even include the 60 GB ipod video)
Kicker RS.56 comp speakers in all four doors.

Dunno, I couldn't see it going for more than $15-16k. Generally, you won't get back much of the money you put into aftermarket stuff. That is for most people though, if you found the right buyer they might pay more. Check out the local auto trader to see what similar cars are going for, and add a slight bit for the mods. You would probably make more if you took of the aftermarket parts and sold them on here instead of selling them with the car.

I'd say somewhere around $12.5k. Might as well pull out the stereo, and all the extra goodies, since they won't affect selling price at all. You'd get the same amount of cash with or without all of it. You're highest selling point is the mileage.

I was hoping for high 16's, but would take 16 as a rock bottom price for it. Wouldn't do any good to sell it for less, since I owe the bank nearly that much.

It bluebooks for 12k without any mods. Wheels and tires were $3000 and only a few thousand miles on them. Stereo is brand new and cost $2500. Shocks are so new theres no dust on them. I know mods aren't worth nearly as much with resell, but with all the extra option besides those two I think its worth the 16k.

Yeah, but you're assuming that someone actually wants a system and 18inch chrome wheels on the vehicle.

I actually just Blue Booked it again. I mixed it up. 12k is the trade in. It private parties for 13.6k. So now I feel better and think 16k is pretty reasonable... as long as I find someone that wants 18" chrome.

. I have two young children and yes it is hard sometimes to fit a family in a Focus. Luckily we have an Escape too. good luck.

I'd say $13K would be a rough price for it on here, of course I know I personally wouldn't give it much of a second look because of those wheels, but that's not saying that there's no one on here who's into chrome

Yeah, when I BB'd it, I got low $12k since I put "Good" condition. That's why I said $12.5k. Right in the middle of Good and Excellent. You would definitely be able to sell it for what you want as long as you busted your ass marketing it. It'd be all about ad placement and area. You'd just have to work at it.

why does everyone think a Focus Sedan can't be a family car??? hell my parents owned two Geo's as family cars...

Right now we have three kids in forward facing seats in our 2001 focus... and there is plenty of room left over for me and the wife to sit up front...

I bought my fully loaded ST brand new for a tick over 13K OTD. So for one with 9500 miles I couldn't see getting over 13K for it. But if you do, GREAT.

To make the most money, take off all that you added to the car and sell that stuff on here in the classified section or on ebay/craigslist and just sell the car as close to stock as possible.

I honestly do see a way you will sell it for 16K on a car that is in the top 10 for worst depreciation.

I don't think it is not a family car it is just a lot easier to haul kids and theirstuff in a larger vehicle.
Three car seats wow do the back doors shut easily.

While I think your car is nice I wouldnt pay anything more than 13G's for it because Id have to spend about 1K getting rid of the billet grills you have because I cant stand them. I also woulnt want the 05 front end which would lead me to find a 2.3 5speed 03 or 04(which is basically an ST) and it would be A. Cheaper B. I could mod it how I wanted to And I wouldnt have to worry what happens when some one bends my 1 off rims or if the rotors warp replacing both instead of just one.

I see one off items as an issue sence you cant replace them if something happens to them which doubles or in the rims case quadrooples replacement cost. Id return it to stock and hope for 13 or 14 but remeber is just a focus your screwed by ford retail. My dealerships selling Fusion SEL I4 for as much as you want for your car and the Fusions Bigger and Newer.

yeah you really cant ask for extra money cuz you added stuff. thats not how it work i mean if you can find a buyer willing to pay that much more power to you. most people however are gonna check kbb and be like um its 3k less and want it for that.

Pull the wheels and aftermarket crap and sell it seperately.

I sold the alpine DVD player out of my car for $1200, got an offer of $950 for my 17s that I paid $800 for, and an offer for $1800 for my 18s.

So almost $4K for some aftermarket parts that, if left on the car, would be worthless

Hard to say Larry being that you work for Steeda and they never made a Steeda ST version other then for the ZX3 (and ZX5 I think) it is just a modded car.Try to put back the original parts that you replaced if you still have them and see if there will be any takers and what price you would be willing to settle for and sell the aftermarket parts.Other then that I have no idea.
