I think this car looks very nice. the rim's on the car look like
they are from the st focus HB. i think this car will tend to grow on people.

I definitely like it - it's a huge leap forward design-wise. Good job Ford!

I'd like it a lot more if they offered a hatch instead of the coupe though.

Also, I'm left thinking that it should be wearing a Nissan badge though.

AutoBlog readers are a bit more of the "in the know" types and carphyles, but they are much more general public than Jetters. Thats why i posted it.

Both of those guys were drunk. I hope.

My only interest would be as a body-in-white. Even then I'd try to see what sheetmetal from the first-gen Focus would bolt up.

The person responsible for approving this design for production should get kicked in the nuts/ovaries (as appropriate).

Ford just killed the Focus, and any desire I ever had to buy a new one.

I'll reserve my final verdict until I see one in the flesh, but "Signs point to NO" says the Magic 8-Ball.

After staring at it for a little longer i can see with a different aftermarket grille, headlights, and tail lights it can look pretty decent.......

Otherwise i'm not feeling it because i kind of agree with one of the Autoblog posters that it does basically look like the return of the Saturn Ion.......

Not that i want them to to keep the old design, but just this wasn't the right direction.....

It just doesn't have that polished look I was waiting for an expecting.

at first I thought those "ultra cool" shiny things on the side were side markers/blinkers (which would have been a good move) until I looked more closely to notice they were plastic fake vents. Totally awesome. I only hope I can somehow put those on my mk1.

it's a very polarizing design, which i think is what they wanted. a lot of people will hate it but you can't call it dull.

But this ain't better. Exterior in particular. Interior is not so bad, but the only thing I said 'Oooh' about was the instrument panel. And the tach is in the wrong place.

Definetly not. They've got a better one available. This is A) a half-assed facelift disguised as a 'major redesign' and B) intended for the consumers with the worst possible taste.

The people that LIKE this should be unhappy with themselves. The people that made it should be ashamed. 2+ years and this is the best you've got?
