C'mon Joe. You're in the business... you know how long those shows have been done with post and in the can.

It does reflect poorly on the producers for not being able to do some research however.

I thought, for comparison, they will dyno the stock car, then right after dyno the tuner car. To keep it even. They won't base all numbers on false captions...

Yup, stock head and cams. So theirs still power to be unleashed with a
head work and turbo specific cams and stronger valve train hardware.

Yes, and being in the business I've aired shows out of edit bays because the production team was making changes to the very last minute. Sorry but the production of this show is two bit, very cheap....... Hell its probably edited in someones basement.

A major mistake like that one should quickly and easily be fixed.

You'd be pleasantly surprised how many shows like LOST and Heroes literally make it to air with minutes to spare because they're being tweaked to the very last minute. Especially shows like the two above because they try to stop done copies from floating around and being leaked.

You don't have to tell me.

But I will tell you this. The budget makes that possible as well. Something tells me that Speed isn't paying $$$$ for this one.

Just a hunch.

I've worked on better productions that have been edited in my old house's garage.... I guess all the moisture in the basement makes it suffer in quality.

Well the basement thing was pretty much a joke, but you and many others know that this day and age someone with the right knowledge and equipment can put out a blockbuster film out of their basement or garage that rival studio's and tv networks.

Its just you can tell the people who make this show don't know much of what their doing, and trust me SPEED probably paid a pretty penny, not huge bucks but the people aren't crying at the bank.

We would but its difficult when you can obviously tell the producers of the show aren't car people when they don't know the difference between a Cooper and a Cooper S.

Luckily FS's knowledge shines through but the production quality give the whole thing a bad name....

I know, but I know these guys and they are trying hard and doing the best that they can. And they read this board and here we are trashing the show most of the time. I just really don't see the point in dogging them anymore at this point. I wouldn't get calls asking for clarification on what was filmed if they didn't care or weren't trying.

Those babes aren't cheap. I'm sure they are taking at least 2/3 of the budget.

I love the show!

I'm looking forward to the next episode.

Well Randy, next time they call you, tell them to fix the power rating on the MINI and make sure they turn on the title safe on their editing program, its the little button that looks like a target display.

If they fix the problems then we'll see their trying, still a little disappointing through that they're trying to make a show about cars when they don't know much about cars.....

You better believe if i decided to make a show about farm equipment I would do a hell of alot of research before I stamped my name on it.

okay. its clear!
They ARE trying really hard and credit to them for it. - for sure... i mean hands down. *im all for credit where credit is due* they want to do it right - no questions here.
they gotta measure up next year though.

these guys arent in the buisness of getting it wrong opening night and then scrambling to put something together that makes sense after the fact.

ive done theatere (as if what you are doing is so different!) and that dosnt fly.

youre a sponsor here because you DONT run your buisness that way.

you had some good competitors that did a good job, and some good sponsors and some good show guys.
again - from what ive seen - no questions.

but are you really gonna set your bar lower to make the competition look better?

are you really gonna set your bar lower to apologise for the production team thats going to do a better job if you have anything to do with it NEXT YEAR?

I mean we got some FREAKIN GOOD sema guys from other teams right here on our forums. hands DOWN!

really darned good guys - right here.
and you embaressed them - dont apologise.

dont stoop to conquer- theyll be back next year.
and youre the target. youre about to aim too low.

FS is king of the hill and the inspiration.

keep the bar high make the competition reach for the stars, make the production team stay on their toes - and give us a show NEXT year that burns us alive.

well all be better off for it. everyone.
shows, competition, your company, and your coustomers.
(hech even your competitions coustomers!)

just please - leave the big stickers, leopard print and sequins at the shop

Since they're reading this...

I've enjoyed this show so far. Sure, it has some quirks, but everything does.

I say keep with it.

I just wish it was broadcast in HD. Funny how SpeedHD is live, but they won't air and HD content until next year.
