Maybe I'm mixing up the preview/comercials with the actual episode. When did they actually air the last episode?

So to sum up: They showed more build of each car then had the "media reveal" and showed various journalists/industry people saying good things about each car.

Seems to me like they spent a long time on the focus and less on the other 2. I also like the fact that it came out last, and definitely showed the biggest difference from point A to point B.

I am really looking forward to next week's episode. Looks like we're in pretty good standing. You've definitely done FJ proud so far, but if it isn't already recorded, you should put some fj stickers on the car

just watched. nice job at the media reveal.

The Evo was way over the top (I'd love to drive the piss out of it) but it looked more like a expo/drift show car. It did look like a beast!
I don't know what to say about the mini ... they did a lot of work.
I think the Focus really was the star of the show. For better or worse in a media reveal, I think the focus was significantly less flashy but a lot more classy. It was my fav, even if I try to be unbiased.

I am looking forward to the dyno and time trials next episode.

yeah the guy from racer mag said he loves the evo. he said it looks mean and it does. i just think with evos when you add that much stuff and power its probably not built for the street. thats why the guy said fs won in his opinion cuz it looks like a street car. its a beast you can drive daily and track on weekends. thats how i see it atleast. the other 2 good luck driving on the street.

Did they give away power numbers in the tease for next week?

I think I saw FS at 373/311 as they finished a pull.....

After seeing all three cars together, it didn't seem like everyone was clear about what the contest was actually about. Skunk2 built a track car and fireballed built a show car. FS was the only team that built a car that followed the guidelines of the show. The EVO was nice, but the FS car was vastly superior in overall design and execution. If they don't win, the show was fixed.

I dunno, minus the stickers, I would enjoy the Evo just as much as I would enjoy the Focus.

Yeah, the Evo has an understated interior and it just looks EVIL with that wide body kit and those wheels.

Hands down... the Evo would be awesome.

Unless that Mini is making a HORSELOAD of power and kicks serious ass on the track, no way it wins.

On the Fight Card, here's how I rank round 1:

FocusSport: 10 Perfectly fit the bill. Kickin sound system, finely detailed interior, tremendous paint job and exterior package (with a badass look minus some trim pieces HINT HINT FORD!!!!).

Skunk2: 9 Didn't quite get the street aspect, but goddamn it looks like it'll kick serious ass everywhere. I expect to see it get out there and compete in round one of the Redline Time Attack.

Fireballed: 6. Point deductions taken for overdoing it. Street tuners mean you gotta be able to put it on the street. Your lightbar invalidates that. And WTF with "the sound rover" Hey Fireball Tim... Vlad The Impaler called. You're apparently up next in the Battle Bot Arena.

Incredible bias aside, it does seems that FS is the only crew that did a real transformation in line with the show's theme.

Love the Evo, but its getting to the point of "whoopee another built Evo" for me. I would have loved if they thought even a bit out of the box and went with a white, wingless RS style set-up with the wide-body.

The mini, well, whatever floats your boat but........

Otherwise, what really has been great for me is how Eurosports/ Focussports' professionalism comes out in spite of any lame production values or style the show has had.

Cheers bros!

Default Re: Street Tuner Challenge season 3

I was actually home last night so I was finally able to watch the new episode. Here are my uneducated opinions...

The guy from Skunk 2 acts like a 15 year old boy. "Hey let's call Vik from our car and say Ford sucks". How funny. I like how they did the interior on the Evo though, but I agree with everyone else it was definitely not as "streetable" as the Focus. Fireball chose a theme and went all out, I'll give them out but totally missed the mark on what a "street tuner" should be. So....

The Mini- they took a car that I'm in love with, and made it into something I'd never own even if it was given to me.

The Evo- made a very capable car to begin with, into a dedicated track car.

The Focus- took a car I would never consider owning and made it into something I love. I think it was the guy from Racer magazine that summed it up the best by saying "This is the car I'd take home and drive right now" and "I wish Ford would sell something like this"

Congrats FS for continuing to prove how top notch your company is.

Orange paint job looks good and all, but I'm wanting to see what that little car can do and how Raffi does with all that FWD powah. Looking forward to an episode with a few more minutes worth watching. Up to now: TGFTivo.

Good on the producer(s) for getting rid of the random car show segment at the end of the show, too.
