I like both cars, and FS just did an awesome job, but Skunk2 had way more resources. Like I said though, just because Skunk2 has more of a reach than FS doesn't make FS any better/worse. Yea, it is easier for them, but that doesn't mean that they're a lesser shop by a longshot. They've just been doing it longer.

I like both cars and I know everyone on here is bias, but you can't change the fact that the evo has a widebodykit, super built motor, suspension, everything else to the max including a sick interior, while the Focus is way more mild in every aspect.

I know, I know, "Street" tuner challenge but lets face it, the show is commentaried by a some stupid girl who obviously knows nothing about cars and uses phrases like, "after this, we'll watch these two high-octane teams make a race for the finish line". It's just corny.

Ease up. Some of us know and like the producers and crew. They are good people and they made the show the way that they thought it should be made. There is no need to insult them or call them names. :shakeshead:

I don't know her name. IIRC, one of them couldn't do the last 2 episodes cus they got a part in a movie so they got someone to fill in.

I love it, although it would have been nice to have a little less asphalt whiteout. Heh. I know he can drive the car! He just made a brief comment at the very end of the "reveal" STC segment (during the preview for the last episode) suggesting he wondered how the car would handle with all that new found FWD torque.

I beg to differ that I'm being overly critical, and I'll leave it at that. I guess you have me on the name calling, I take it back, that "girl" isn't stupid. I'm sure they are indeed good people. (I) just would have formatted the show different. The shots they got of everyone working and such is spot on, as well as the interview part with every shop every epsiode, but everything in between (commentary, formatting [text, intro, end],etc) could use a little work.

You'll find out next week...I think...but we got a flat on the truck on the way to the practice session. And we were already late. Long story short, we missed the whole thing and just had to show up and compete with no practice, except for a few laps right before the timed laps.

I loved it when they said that they'd take the Focus right now. While the EVO is an AWSOME vehicle, its more race car and race cars get old fast. A little more refinment, good looks, dead realibility and you're a go!

was the reveal over at CLASSIC IND? i couldn't figure out if it was there or maybe his brothers shop (always forget the name)....but from the older cars they had on the side, i'd guess it was his shop.

also guys, just wondering. where did everyone end up dyno'ing? ...and i know you guys have to of tested at your shop, how close where the final numbers to what you were expecting/seeing at your shop?

will be good to see the car out and running at Streets next month as well. will that be the first time on the track since the event?

All the cars were dyno tested @ GIAC. Since the event the car hasn't been back on the track so we will dial it in once we get out there. Also as for the dyno numbers, the results were off for all the teams.
GIAC uses a Mustang dyno so it read different numbers then our Dynojet. Once the show is over we will reveal all the numbers and so on.

Oh and THANKS!!!

Thumbs up Re: Street Tuner Challenge season 3

I haven't been on fj in a very long time.I just recently been on the past few days. I started reading page 1 about 3 am and just finished right now! All I can say is,extremely good job on the new Focus from Team FS,very well rounded work.I take my hat off to all 8 on the team.Wish you the best of luck.I will say the Evo is very nice minus the slightly over done stickers, and for the Mini, well, less is more. That's all ill say in this reply, goodwork non-the-less.

I gotta say I agree with the guy that said the FS guys really captured the essence of this competition.

The Evo is gorgeous. But its a bit too racecar-ish.

The Mini is
