Yes, the EVO made faster raw times than the Focus did.. I believe the EVO ran a 1:28 at Big Willow.. Given more development, suspension tuning, more aero, I think that car, with the same power, could probably run 1:26's there.

Skunk2 is supposedly building an Unlimited Class EVO now that will probably be good for sub 1:23's at Big Willow.... :-) Scary....

If they don't fry the engine.

I for one wanna see them try. It'd be great to add some more out there to the Unlimited AWD group!

I know we could drop another 2 seconds or more. Don't forget, the Evo team had a full day of practice with their car. We had about 4 or 5 laps before our timed competition laps.

Exactly! Given more setup time, maybe a bit more front aero (very important on a FWD car ESPECIALLY on that track).. 2 seconds is probably conservative.

I'd like to see at least one of your cars at Buttonwillow in the Time Attack shooting for the low 2:00's.. which would be good for podium contention! :-)

You think the white ZX3 (The EGG) would have done a better time?

I just finally got to see the final episode of STC myself. Sorry for being behind.

Kudos to the guys at FS!!!! I was a little concerned about the EVO myself. I knew that the Mini wasn't going to be a huge threat, but the EVO is a different story.

I was glad to see the best interior, best horsepower, and the overall win to go to FS.

You all earned it, and I would like to see you compete on STC again sometime in the future.

The show aired everything in the correct order that the cars were being worked on.

Focus Sport.
You guys were by far better prepared at every aspect of this challenge from the word go.
Kudos to you and your team .
You demonstrated to the tuner world that the Focus is really a force to be reckoned with.
I do not know about anyone else, but I would like a screensaver of the focus, any possible way you could load some pictures of the car? with various angles of the interior & exterior.

We love hearing stories like this.

Ron is working on putting up some newer images of the car. You should see something in the next day or so if I had to guess.

Were you guys allowed to install standalones?

There really weren't any rules. Even nitrous ended up being allowed, though FS and Skunk had no intention of using it. I heard that the Mini team was going to, but that wasn't in the cards for them.

If it hasn't already been posted, how about details of the brake and suspension bits for the car. I'm trying to figure how much changed on the '08 focus.
