This thread is about the Street Tuner Challenge. It's not about other project cars or '08 Focus styling in general.

Please Get Back On Topic

Thanks.

No it's not live. I was just technically answering the question, but you're probably right. I guess everyone should check their local listings.

The West Coast and East Coast airings occur more or less simultaneously for this and many other previously recorded shows on Speed AFAICT. Strange but true. It's definitely something you have to check on the SpeedTV schedule and be sure to set the timezone for your area. I've missed a BTCC or two for not paying attention to this.

Thats VERY strange. They must not have different East and West Coast Feeds.... Sucks for you West Coasters....

Gotta love the DVR. Most of this kind of thing is not time sensitive for me.

Hehe Well same here, just put the show as a series record. But I know alot of people here for some reason don't have DVR's.

I've never felt like this was something that was unfortunate in any way. So my opinion is that it really doesn't "suck" for us on Pacific Standard time. There is a single feed, because of the nature of the type of live programming they have. Many smaller networks like National Geographic use the same type/time format.

Anyhow, I can't wait for the show to begin.

Speed, because of live programming can't be delayed by the cable company like channels such as Discovery, TLC, etc are. So yah... 10pm EDT means 7pm PDT.

Although most everyone airing at 10pm EDT / 7pm PDT will rerun the same programming @ 1am EDT / 10pm PDT. (a la Food Network)

It wouldn't be the cable company delaying the programing, the network would have a seperate West Feed. Thats how we and most Major Networks do it.

Networks, and HBO, Showtime, etc all do. But (to the best of my knowledge) the smaller cable networks don't. To my knowledge there is no Discovery East and Discovery West feed.... But that information is old.... they may have added channels.

But with Discovery, I watch my shows at the normal time, then its on again 3 hours later. So if they had seperate transponders for east and west, why would they do that?

I was actually going to mention that I notice a few of the smaller cable networks repeating programing throughout the night. Mostly I thought as filler but it would work to keep West Coast time.

I would have thought SPEED was a bigger network than that. Haven't noticed but does Speed repeat prime time 3hrs later? Also having alot of live programming is no excuse for not having a West Network. We do alot of Live Soccer and we just reshuffle programing for MTN and West Coast feeds.

LOL yah this whole tangent could have been avoided with a simple check.

Yup they repeat it 4 hours later.... so 10pm EDT/7pm PDT, 11pm PDT/2am EDT.

Holy crap...that's my rendering!! When did this get out??

I did two different designs...the other which I liked much better but this is cool. So what's the deal?? Is this design being built or what? I just got back from Cabo and stumbled onto this and it's exciting to see my rendering on the home page of [FJ].

woot! Speed HD just launched yesterday. It would be awesome if this broadcasts in HD, but odds are it probably will only be SD.
