i agree its just sad they have these morons as the lead. so they were on tv more making the teams look bad. the people that worked on the cars im sure can wrench like hell and are very knowledgeable.

Gotta say, i hated how the 08 looked until I saw the blue and orange one from FS, you guys know exactly what a car needs to look hot and perform great. I agree the EVO is a sweet ride, but it's an easy choice for a competition like this, there's really not much you have to do to it, but to take a focus, which probably no one would ever choose and have it come out on top makes people eyes open up and go hmmmm. Kudos to Randy and the FS crew... BTW...If no one has ever seen Gigahertz...take a look at Vik, to me they look exactly the same....

Egz has a point. Some team members from S2, and Fireballed are very knowledgable, despite their personalities.

They did bring in external help, yes, but FS did bring in some too. There's some things that a team cannot tackle alone. Randy needed help with the ECU remember? The '08's is different.

Each team did use external help, and all the teams in the past have too whether admitting it or not. They have help with body work/painting, sound, etc.

Acutally... Randy didn't need help with the ECU. Randy had his stuff working just fine. It was a craptastic piece of plastic that was the Crank Position Sensor attachment that was the issue.

The only thing that FS "needed help with" was paint and body. But even at that, Vik rolled up his sleeves (so to speak... he only wears short sleeves) and sanded the Focus too. I'm sure he woulda loved to have taken a turn with the spray gun, but it wasn't the right project to attempt that for the first time.

Actually, I thought I needed help, but it turned out not to be anything ECU related. See post #682.

Right. And so we did end up needing some help after all.

Nah, I went to one of those before and I know the guy who was in charge. I don't want to put our cars thru all the crap that the chosen cars will deal with.

I'd like to take the parts off the car and have them be in good shape versus the shape they would be in after said movie. Not interested.

ilike how he mini boards are still bashing the focus. one guy was saying some crap about ford having a better focus in europe. that the focus we have is on decades old platform and the svt focus was good 10 years ago.

the evo board hasnt said anything at all.

That's funny... I could've sworn the SVT came out only 6 years ago.
