Heh. Hey, ok, this is going to sound kind of random, but I have nowhere else to post this and it is for the DL650.

I want a rubber ducky to stick on the tail!
Was planning to just paint on some "angry eyes" onto an appropriate ducky, but haven't found a good one yet.
Perhaps if there is an adventure touring style one.

Gunna go on that ledge below the keyhole above the license plate.

PS: How do you get down off a motorcycle? You don't, you get down off a duck! ....... *crickets chirping*

Edit: I am finding some WEIRD stuff online...

i've owned an sv650 and loved it. very comfy, good on fuel and does handle well. the only downside i saw to it was the suspension was very soft and got a little choppy in hard turns. this can be remedied by swapping for the gsxr front end and rear shock or using emulators for the forks.

I just did the first full-tank fillup this afternoon. 43mpg on 100% city driving (with me probably not driving the most economically, due to it being new )

That's about what I was quoted for full coverage (Progressive). I'm not buying full coverage though.

That's a damn good rate compared to what I'm getting. The EX500 costs me $890 per year. But I've got 100/300 coverage with 250 deduct.

I was quoted a good bit more than that, but I just totalled a car last December and I have a speeding ticket from a couple years ago on my record as well, so I'm sure that has something to do with it.

It's gonna cost me somewhere in the neighborhood of $400-450/yr for liability only on an '08 SV650 with Progressive, and IIRC Geico was more. Full coverage with Progressive was over $1100/yr, so that's part of my motivation for buying outright.

ALMOST!

Got everything installed but I'm waiting on delivery of a helmet mounted camera for video blogs that I was gunna surprise y'all with (where I can talk about not just motorcycles, but all kinds of over-excited rants like how many of those trendy Mac commercials and ads were stolen from other artists for example), and I'm waiting for the paint for the rear exhaust cover to dry right now!!!

Well, I had taken a bunch of pics showing off the gear indicator, GPS mount, and all that jazz, but camera somehow lost the pics. Neways, only the first shot came through, and I'm too lazy to redo it right now.

BC (before Chris):

AD (after Ducman):

Farkles to date:
-Stebel Air Horn
-Cal-Sci medium shield
-Madstad adjustable shield mount
-Hepco crash bars
-Amototech engine guard
-Kwik Cover
-Electronic cruise control
-Amotostuff adjustable toprack
-Givi side-rack
-Givi E52 topcase w/ Admorelighting.com LED kit (brighter than Givis and does turn signals)
-Destickered
-Powerlet DC power plug on dash for GPS and radar detector
-Pat Walsh dash mount for GPS/radar
-Gipro gear indicator
-Fork brace
-PIAA Ultra-white headlights
-Painted exhaust covers flat black
-AC handguards
-Butt stimulator beads

Still haven't installed the auxiliary front lights, reflective yellow wheel stripes and stripe to cover silver on Givi bag, yellow StromTrooper.com sticker on tail, and black cargo net to go over passenger seat, glowing angry rubber duckie w/ internal LEDs linked to brake light, Pelican rugged sidebags, and then I'm done!

BTW, 99.999% of the install work was done by ex-forumite SVTFoki. I kinda supervised, as I don't do manual labor. Thats for mexicans and SVTFokis.

PS: Dunno how accurate I was filling it up to the right height again in the tank, but 54mpg last tank! Woot! I also parked next to an R6 at Wally World, and the guy was like OMFG THATS HUGE!!! And then he mentioned in passing that my bike was big too, after I put my pants back on. Seriously though, its a huge bitch.

Yes, but lots more and no lube. Well, the other big difference is that they don't actually go IN the ass.

They circulate air under your cheeks to keep your boys nice and cool. Otherwise, sitting on vinyl you get zero circulation. The other thing I considered is a sheepskin buttpad.

My Credit Card is working, but just barely. I think I'm about to hit my credit limit for the month. Thanks for asking.

OK, how's your CRUISE CONTROL working? with a 60 mile commute one way, i've definitely been thinking about it.

Sorry, I'll have a video review up shortly. I'm just stuck at home, but I got my camera and everything rigged up to the helmet. Waiting for the guys to deliver furniture before I can go ride.

Oh and btw, lame or not lame:

Thinking of having a vinyl guy make one using 3M reflective tape.

Quick photoshop from Warthog which is inspiration:
