Want to see the 2009 Focus? *Pics added!

Now that I saw it on American Idol, I have to say, despite my criticism of it, the cameras actually made it look pretty good, but more eye catching was that cool custom Edge. But I'm still not interested in buying one, I want a Euro. And I think that an SVT front bumper, SVT wheels and that great color would make any car look good.

What can be done to the P-ZEV? Seeing that New York is getting the demasculinizied 130hp good for getting groceries only engine; what can I do to uncork it?

Wilko, Intake for sure, Remove one of the cats and replace the other with a high flow ( they have 2 cats right?), then some exhaust work.

If you really wanna get in there Tumble flap delete in the intake manifold would be a good start without replacing the manifold with a better piece.

Ford is really sad. They keep changing the design of the Focus. Maybe they should really use the european designs, which are much nicer. If they really want to improve the car. Also give it a nicer interior. I have a 2006, and all these constant changes decreases the aftermarket products availbility. with the prices of the Focus going up in cost, honestly the honda civic is such a better deal. 4 wheel disc brakes, better quality interior, you can run larger wheels, and it does have a smoother ride, better crash ratings, side air bags.

The 2004 and earlier focus had style, aftermarket support, and was fun to drive.

I am only keeping my focus as not to be upside down on a trade, as the value drops like a bomb on the focus.

...the craptastic steering wheel whose spokes are so wide that one cannot wrap one's second and third digits around.

The original Focus steering wheel is one of the best OE wheels of ANY manufacture. The '08 wheel is one of the worst. Can the two be swapped?

Dude, put the two rears side-by-side, they are damn near identical.

The only major change is the faux diffuser panel.

So after admiring the pictures of the '09 a whole bunch, I finally realized what it reminds me of: the Kaminari front bumper for the MKI! It's sort of a hybrid of the Kaminari, the SVTF, and the Verve front bumpers, but regardless, I'm really really digging it

The rear on the 09 seems to have softer creases and as Omni said, the faux diffuser and, the 09 has darker chrome on the lights. The 08 has some what of a bolted on skirt look to it, chisiled creases and the plenty bright chrome under glass tail lights.

And lets not for get the "hat to the back" roof spoiler on the 09.

I think it looks alot like a nice little M3, if say a company that makes Focus parts (rymes with Cosworth... ) makes a 2L kit for a decent amount I'd get it. Cams, Intake, tuning, exhaust and if we could get our little 2.0l into the 150hp range with decent torque it would be an awsome performer! Add some lightweight wheels, rear disks, lightweight seats maybe 2400ish lbs and you'd have one killer little car. Again, 4.2 gear, good tires... heaven!

I'm getting sick and tired of the "If it were just like the Euro Focus I'd buy it." Ford gave you a chance to put up or shut up...and every **** all over the model the gave us in 2005. I expect some "WTF are you talking about Chalz?" responses, so I'll just post the following pictures:

Once again...what happened? People all over FJ cried, "It's butt ugly!!!!! I hate it!!!! It's nasty!!!!!!!" Aside from the front bumper being lengthened slightly to meet US standards and a few other minor aesthetic details, they are extremely similar cars. All the lines are pretty much the same, and the major details are damned near exacting.

The market told Ford it was ugly...so Ford was led to believe that we didn't like the Euro style.Can't anyone see how that would be pretty damned confusing to the guys over at Ford?

Once again, though, Ford tries to do something to please the market...and people are ****ting all over it. There is no way to please most of the people here, and seeing all this incessant and retarded bitching is annoying. We're auto enthusiasts, people. We take ****boxes and make them look good. If you want a fast car that looks amazing off the lot, be willing to spend more than $18,000.

Anyway...sorry for the rant. Ford guys, keep on trucking. You're doing a great job.
