Cant help but feel a little burnt by Ford for getting an 08. Well this will be the last time I buy a car in its first model year.

I am happy to hear the good news, but my car is already old news.

Didn't one place report that 09 will see rear headrests and Advance-Trac?

If so...and those options make it on this side of the border...I'm sold.

stability control is set in stone because it is REQUIRED on ALL cars in the US come 2010, to me this just means their will be a 2010 version of this focus.

and yea i think they need a simultaneous east coast revealing!

I would find it very interesting if ford makes it a “transitional” styling change to make the car evolve to be more along the lines of the EU fords….

As I said before the general body lines look like that WAS what ford was going for, but someone decided to “Americanize” the front end to better match the front of the fusion. The overall 2008 focus COULD look allot like the new 08 C1 focus if they just revise the front end styling a bit.

so since its being unveiled at FS, maybe Randy and company were asked in advance how to make the car nicer?!? aka get rid of the chrome fender things lol

it would be nice to see a sleeker, smoother focus, or maybe an SVT version again someday! (wishful thinking)

So is this going to be only a facelift or are there going to be mechanical changes...maybe, just maybe there will be a 2.3 duratec again. As for aesthetics, I'm thinking no more chrome, maybe a more sporty version with lower suspension and bigger wheels, definitely i hope rear head rests and oh ***** handles. And I hope they offer the same orange that FS painted their STC focus.

Why has no one mentioned a FS turbocharged version? The reveal is being done at their headquarters, and they won best design by Ford at SEMA didn't they? Hmm......

The 2008 Focus is selling very well. The '09 is a restyle. Expect reworked front and rear fascias that will address some of the concerns leveled against the current car. I've heard it looks good.

I don't expect any mechanical changes. But, the fact that Ford has moved so swiftly to take into account feedback, proves that they are listening.
