WOOHOO Come on $150!

That means it will be like $10.30 a gallon to fill up the race car this weekend.

You know what sucks... is speculators can literally make their own money. The more they buy the futures, the more the futures price goes up, the more the price of gas goes up, the more "fear" that gas is limited, and it's completely circular! It's like a savings account that has a variable interest rate that is guaranteed to go up with every dollar you put in.

This is just rediculous!

Yup. Gas just hit 3.78 here in St. Louis, MO. It's only getting worse.

Paid $55.00 to fill up the Celica last week. 4.009/gal

Thankfully, it was for 440/miles but damn, $0.13/mile in fuel cost alone!

I'm fairly certain if I met someone that got rich off of oil futures at a party or something, I'd just deck him.

It is ok, once it hits $170 a barrel most "normal" people will no longer be able to go to work. This will then bring the price down.

Now my fear, all this money that is going to the Middle East, what is it funding.

We were at $3.99 9/10 last week for a few days for 87 octane, and 93 was $4.2x. Yesterday 93 dropped to under $4.00, so I filled up just to be on the safe side of the holiday weekend. I was thinking this morning about digging my bike out of the storage shed and start riding it to work. I am only 5 miles from work, so I am not sure if I will do it or not. I don't want to be stinky for the rest of day!

All this money is not going to the middle east. (well some of it is)

This money is lining the pockets of the already super-rich in this country and other countries all over the world.

It's 'futures' commodity pricing.

I know you're kidding... Mutual funds are putting a 'little' money in peoples pockets from this, but it's the guys that are putting millions in that are reaming us.

I'm trying to figure out what I would do if I were in their situation. I'd probably be willing to piss off a few million people in order to retire at the age of 22 I'd make it all better by buying my parents some land, a house, and a shop, then give several hundred thousand $ to the red cross and homeless shelters for the damage I've caused the American people

Acutally, if I had to guess... I know where she's thinking of... but the roofline gives it away... and its not that one, but one further down Ventura Blvd in Studio City near Vineland.

You're probably right on with your assumption
But yes, in general - Ventura Blvd. seems high priced.

And yet, (what did one article just say?) we'll look back on this year as "the good ol' days" when gas was cheap.
