The car is not in the garage at the moment, just the motor. The car is not a Focus, but a Caterham. I know this is a Focus forum, so I won't bore you with Caterham stuff, but I also know you guys here can really appreciate this motor for what it is. ...and yes, Paul, it is mine.

That engine looks sick! Must see more pictures of the rest of the car it is going into, though.

I wish they offered an intake manifold like that for a zetec...It wouldn't even have to be fast if it looked that good.

You building a Caterham Seven CSR 260? I saw what Caterham claimed to be the first one sold in the U.S. last year at a track day in Kent, WA. That thing is a hoot. Definitely has got some getup! Have fun.

From the Caterham site:

"With available Cosworth Duratec 2.3 power, the new car does 0-60 in 3.1 with a top speed of 155 mph. "

No updates; the chassis and the rest of the parts should still arrive sometime in early March. It's really hard to every day see that motor just sitting in the garage!

The engine is the same as the CSR260, but I ordered the traditional chassis, which is narrower than the CSR and doesn't have the IRS, but I ordered an aftermarket suspension system called "superwide" which adapts the wider car's DeDion tube and pushrod inboard front suspension. It will also come in about 100 lbs lighter than the CSR. It's like a street-legal shifter kart!

I was going to try to attach the dyno plot (.xls, don't know if that would work anyway), but for some reason it reads "You may not post attachments" at the bottom of the screen (?). Did I break a rule? If so, it wasn't intentional!

I think you need to get more than 100 posts before you can do it.
