Street Tuner Challenge season 3 - Focaljet

well, i guess this is more a questions as anything, as i dont' like it when my gf finds out some stuff before me!

i have not confrirmd it 100%, but have found 2 places saying the same thing for the most part.

3 cars "will be" Mini Cooper, Evo and a Ford Focus?

Fireballed! out here has confirmed his involvement with their Mini, and he's said he's competing with a Focus and an Evo9. but the producer was quoted in saying ABD and Skunk2 were expecting to make another apearance (though didn't say this season).....so i'm a bit stumped.

another forum had said it was an Evo7 rather than a 9, but still, it's all i got.

anyone have info. i know i don't have a Focus, but i like to think i'm pretty "in tune" with what's going on....ESPECIALLY since it's out of SoCal and i'd only guess F2 or FocusSport (Marcy seems too small though much potential, especially since stepping out of the market) would be the likely competition here?

anything guys?

well i'm glad i wasn't the only one. well i guess people aren't really "supposed" to give away too much on the show, so that's why people are keeping quite. i still don't know who's doing the Evo, but all other based are now filled.

according to Fireballed! it sounds like the track event is coming up mid October or something, so i'm guessing more will be leaked soon.

Mini, Evo, and Focus?

I can see Mini, Lancer, and Focus, but starting out with an Evo is a HUGE leap from what the Mini and Focus are starting out with.

Kind of odd they pick a Focus RIGHT as the new body style is about to roll out....

Well, unless they USE the 08 Focus.......

Of course, since I am NOT in the know, it seems odd that they would. I was figuring on them using the 07.

the good thing that came out of season 2, was when using new cars, they were ablet o gauge not necessarily "fastest" but "faster than stock". so on the performance side....it's the tuners ability to increase performance, rather than who has top #'s.

and there are so many damn choices out here for EVO's, where in Socal, there are like 2 mini tuners and 2 focus tuners.....so it makes it easier to narrow things down a bit.

Still can't believe they are using an Evo instead of the new Lancer.

They'll use the OLD Evo and not the NEW Lancer when they will use the NEW Mini and NEW Focus?

Totally bizarre......

I can't wait to see it when it starts to air. Honestly, a Kugel V8 swap would be KILLER!
