I HOPE that Ford has paid Attention to the many threads across the years showing the Just HOW Useful the First Gen hatch is. The things I've carried Definitely make the car a pleasure to own. Don't shrink it a 1/4" in the hatch, or there will be child toys that can't be carried.

Just like the SVT brakes, a Quaife type LSD should be available as Optional OEM Equipment with only Limited Extra Charge for those who feel the need.

(EDIT) Spell check 0wnz me.

If Ford wants to go with the big back end, (like Kris said) give us back the 3-door hatch style back.

Independent fold-down seats.

How about better looking interior options? Solid colors.

All the listings are really good, but the one single thing that I would like to see from FORD, is make the FOCUS the 'king of the hill' in the sport compact market like it was for a little while. I know FORD can do it, the question is, WILL they do it? Make that decision FORD and you will have a big winner-guaranteed!

I want all of the REAL Feedback that I can get, without additional sensors to fail.

I think you are confusing drive by wire with electric assist. Honda S2000 has electric assist which is what AirForceFocus is refering to. You will feel much more with that than with the hydraulic power steering on most cars. Hydraulic assist sucks power and fuel economy from the car.

BETTER LUG NUTS would be a GREAT Idea.
I can't tell you how many lug nuts I've had go to crap.
Both poor threads AND crappy "caps" that fall off.
Give me some Nice SOLID lug nuts with better than Chinese threads.

4 wheel disc brakes

A performance based model that will actually compete with the other performance sub compacts. Turbo or something.

I have given up all hope on ever getting an all wheel drive version of a Focus.

Your thoughts are a Great Cheer, the question is, "HOW?".
Thus, we have this thread for some (realistic) input.
We ALL want a "Performance Model", if not a Couple of Levels.
We'll save that for another thread.
Right now, we're discussing something for Enthusiasts, Students, Old people, Rental Companies, Families, etc.
What Features Do we Want/Need as "STANDARD FEATURES" if we were looking to buy a FOCUS.
I am One of the "Perfect" Focus Customers.
I Lust for other products such as the Mustang, but the Focus is my Price-Point.
I Auto-X and Run Track events, but I also have a Family, and there is a Car seat in My Race-Spring/Koni-Equipped '01 S2 as well as my wife's '03 ZTS.
My Grandfather has an '06 sedan.
I know All angles of the Focus Market, from Show Toy to Track Car, to Grocery Getter, to Commuter, to "Old Folks' Car", to Rental Fleet.
Ford, If you're Listening, Don't Forget the "Performance End" of that Equation, WITHOUT Shooting Yourself in the Foot by Pricing Yourself Out of that Market.

Did you guys know they cut out the above the head handles? They should put those back in. Not that I use them though. But they should put them back in.

I agree. 4 x 108 is like a bastard child.

If we could get 4 x 100, man, a whole world of bad ass wheels would open up to Focus owners.

dunno because i have no interest in a base model. They should probabally move it a bit up market with the verve comeing out then too (and the verve seams like it will be more positioned against mini, than Aveo in price, features, and quality)

Well, if it is the same as the Euro Focus, then I am betting on 5x108. Wonder how wheel selection will be for that? Atleast we can goto the Volvo dealer and buy wheels then.

On the other hand you could probably swap out to the Mazda3 5x100 hubs.

4x100 is for ricers

This wouldn't be a problem in the UK.

Although lots of japanese wheels are nice too

I think it is actually one of the lighter cars in its class. Now if you are referring to the MK2, then yes, drop 100 pounds (or more please).
