Engine specs for the upcoming Audi A1 leak out - Focaljet

Apparently someone got ahold of an internal Audi memo and included in it are the engine specs for Audi's upcoming MINI fighter, the A1. They are as follows:

86 hp 1.2-liter TFSI
122 hp 1.4-liter TFSI
170 hp 1.4-liter TFSI
90 hp 1.6-liter Diesel
143 hp 2.0-liter Diesel

Of course we will probably only get one engine, but the above is interesting to know.

The top of the line gasoline-powered TFSI 1.4-liter will be equipped with Audi's S-tronic dual-clutch gearbox.

nice. I'm sure we'll get the 1.4TFSI. This is a car that will seriously make me consider jumping the blue oval ship. Unless we get some decent specs for the upcoming US fiesta (which for me to buy would HAVE to be atleast a 5 door hatch....3 door prefered<---doubful)

So now I am wondering what the the weight of this "little" car will be. Hopefully not a porky as the Mini.

mini fighter wheeee but at a cost of what? starting price of a mini base is 20? i really can't see myself throwing 25-30k for an optioned out small car when i can prolly option out a fiesta and it'll prolly be around 18k-19k? (speculation of course)

kinda like the BMW 1 series, who the hell wants to buy a 1 series when for a few grand more u can prolly pick up a 3 series

the people who want a small car that uses less fuel AND has a nice interior, thats who.

why buy a bigger 3 series if you dont need a bigger car?
