I'm not sure what you've been watching, but this is a generally inaccurate statement.
I don't think that there are any more or less cautions or cars running at the finish.
Back to the Threshold Braking, don't forget the Green Flag Pit Stops. Zowie they get on the brakes HARD with all of that weight.

Well to Jefe's point, ever since JPM came into NASCAR, he's really advanced that phrase "rubbing is racing" especially on road courses.

I like JPM... think he adds a different element... but that man does like to 'rub'.

IMO, there's a reason for that.
He was told from the beginning that he was the "foreigner" and the good old boys would likely "rough him up". He just refused to let them get to him, and instead decided to go chin to chin with them, and when it comes to shoulder to shoulder racing, he won't back down.

Formula One is the culmination of technology and speed. It is a test of manufacturers and the skill of the driver. Also, I embrace Bernie Eccelstone's drive to incorporate the "green" technology into the world of F1. I doubt NASCAR will ever see such advances......

I would agree 100%. I think he's a pretty gutsy dude.

Montoya has had my respect for a while now. I love pulling up that clip of him qualifying at Imola in 2001 with no traction control, wet track, and he's out on slicks. Yee haw....

His Name gets him WHAT?
He's Not Fat.
He has No "Family Name" to lean on.
I have No Idea What hole you're talking out of.
He's not one of my favorite drivers, but you have to give credit where it's due, and that's obviously something that you're out of touch with.
I'm guessing that you've never seen his work behind the wheel of a Daytona Prototype car in the 24 hrs of Daytona...

I think all car racing is boring unless you know the history of all the drivers/teams/engineers.

Not too mention his 2 championships and numerous wins.

Or the fact that he has gotten a win in every single type of car he has ever gotten into with the exception of Daytona Prototypes. He should have won the 24 hr race that one year but they would not listen to him when he told them something was loose with 20 minutes to go in the race.

Thats not how I remember it. They knew the rear suspension was broken, and they didn't have the time to fix it. They made make-shift repairs and Tony had to try to go out and limp the car around just fast enough that the car behind him couldn't catch by the end of the race. I think they used 2x4's or something to wedge into the broken suspension to try to hold it. Tony was going around the track basically on three wheels because the right rear suspension was collapsed and the left front was about 4 inches up in the air going around the banking and the straights. Tony was absolutely amazing that race, I can't think of too many drivers who could have driven that car over the last hour with the suspension broken.

He kept call on the radio and telling them something was loose and coming apart and the team assumed it was the suspension coming apart. This went on for like 2 laps and Tony finally told them a front tire was loose. They told him to keep driving there was only 20 minutes left and half way down the back stretch the wheel comes off and when it unloaded the front end the rear collaped and into the wall he went.
It sucked because I have been a Tony fanboy since the IRL days when I think it was Bratton that got killed in practice and Tony had to step up and carry the team as a rookie and did a great job.
I had a ton of time invested in that 23 hour and 40 minute race and was all upset when it broke. I remember the incar radio stuff, ect. It was pretty funny.

That was where his line of "Here kitty, kitty, kitty" came from.

NO joke- he even rubs his team mates- just waiting for the Tony Stewart vs him sometime this year at Infidien or Watkins Glen- always a good show at a road course
