Unfortunately, emissions are very strict in NH where I live (even though Im catless and got a shady sticker) =D
The deal I got on my nearly complete RS conversion was too good to pass up, without the extra money and hassle of buying the real thing. So if it takes a grand or two to get the seats, door panels, paint and misc trim than so be it.

So how exactly was it important to your post to add in that your daddy runs some uber global company? I've said it before and I'll say it again, you need to spend some quality time searching previous threads in here about how things work to get parts and whatnot brought over from Europe. Shoot, maybe if you didn't come off like some bratty little kid several people in this thread that know far more about this topic than you may wanna give us credit for would even help you

OK well that is what i was saying if you read the first comments I was looking for someone to ship parts to in europe pay them a amount and get them to ship them to me Because Batinc.net yes has euro parts good great for about 200$ more then what I was finding them for on ebay.UK ... and then I asked for someone to enlighten me on why a RS could not be driven here in the sates because from what ive been informed form insurance companys that it could be driven here no problem.
I ask this because if my father ever did get a job in Europe again, I was completly intending to buy a RS or something of the sort a old fiesta cosworth, Escort etc parking it on the boat I dont understand where all of you get off thinking im trying to be a jerk or something because im not?

Im simply looking for information so I dont waste money that I dont need to?
Everybody on here is offended way to easily..

And as for your car I absolutly Adore it Its simply amazing I wasnt trashing on it in any way I just thought hey wouldnt it be cheaper to just buy one and have it imported? but I guess not, So I asked why because I was told that i could have it insured no problem. And since florida doesnt have emmisions i figured it really wouldnt be a problem? but if im wrong please tell me...

and as far as the F2 focus RS kit I love it and was fully intending to use that some day the only thing that bothers me about it is that it leaves the rear bumper 4 miles out and I absolutly HATE the rear bumper on the american Focus

but if there is a way to get rid of thart with the F2 kit i will be buying that along with rims from them

Everybody on here is offended way to easily..

If you are intent on wanting Ebay prices instead of from a shop like Batinc, then it's all on you. Some of the people over on Ebay.co.uk that I negotiated with did ship some parts to Hawaii (yes I live here) but shipping was long....long....way too long. Also the parts would be used and condition is always questionable considering they could ship it and it could be damaged in the process.

If you don't have the cash to even pay the prices that Batinc offers, then you really aren't in the right market. Shipping from Europe plus the cost of the Euro dollar (it pwns the U.S. dollar btw) should indicate that you should either wait for the USD to recover or just take the plunge and get it from Batinc.

Or you may just want to fly over the Atlantic and get the parts yourself since you're having trouble finding a "Euro buddy." When your daddy goes overseas, ask him if you could tag along so you can go and find all the parts while your daddy goes about his business.

I got most of my parts when the USD was "strong," so I did save quite a bit. But I also had to get my European parts from the likes of Batinc, "the site that shall not be named," and elsewhere. I just had to do the searching myself.

You may also want to look at posting in some of the European Focus message boards and hopefully someone will be able to assist you there too.

I know of a distro down here that can get Euro Focus ST's at around $14k. It's very tempting but regulations down here make it a long process to make it fully legal for daily driving. *sigh*

I have no prob bro, I just felt you took a shot at me about not shipping the real thing and wanted to pass along the impressions Ive got concerning a euro spec vehicle in the states. I don't think I came off as aggressive and if I did then I humbly apologize!
Im just like you...I want teh euro hookups!
