I zip-tied my camera to the head rest for a crazy 10 second ride down the track in this beast.

I was actually watchin this video the other day.
I love the whole chew pinch when he is bs-ing. It gives you the whole " Im a redneck and I can make a damn zx2 run in the 10's" persona. Sweet vid. -spatakula |

This is not the one with the 5.0. That one is in Canada. This one is in Indiana. He is going to put a harness in the passenger seat. That means I'll get to ride in it. I shall wear a diaper.

We call those cars 'Muncie special' around here, except most of them go 12s with all of noise and tire of a top fuel car. Hillbillies are awesome.

That's a lot of car for just 10 sec passes. Granted, I've never been down the track that fast ... but I've seen plenty of lesser built cars pull faster times.

Something wrong with running 10's on the motor alone?
It looks like a homebuilt work in progress, I don't see anything wrong with it.

Just because it's tubbed it's a race car?
The thing doesn't sound all that built to me, It's pretty obvious that the way the thing is set up it could go MUCH faster without much effort. Hell, leave it as is and slap a big nitrous kit on it and it would run a LOT faster than 10's.

Let's do the math on this one: Sheet metal interior Full Roll Cage At least backhalved, probably 3/4 tube chassis Fuel Cell 2 speed transmission w/ transbrake No exhaust No alternator Bigs/littles hrm.... on second thought, you're right. That is a street car. It probably is very useful around town. Quote:

It was a beast, worthy of some man giggles. Anyway, this was his first run with this engine in it. He was still messing with the cam and ignition timing. The car has not been dialed in on a dyno yet. Also, mid-10's seems normal for any vehicle making about 400 hp. I doubt it can be making more then that since it is still running the stock heads.
There is nothing keeping him from putting street tires on the car and plating it. It is still street legal.

lol. In Indiana, you could put plates on a pro mod and drive it on the street.... that doesn't make it is a street car.

I did a quick search of your posts and it's quite obvious that you are THE man. I'll have to really watch myself with you around to correct everyones mistakes. All Hail Hocky, master of the universe Maybe you should share your ultimate secret of putting a small block chevy in a light car with the rest of the world because no ones ever done that before.
