Thank you so much. I'll stop bugging you now. Now that I know there will be some sick Foci there too, that makes me REALLY want to go now.

You guys may want to check out this thread if you didn't register for the "Friend of Ford" in time (I think the deadline was Tuesday).

OK, I've sent out the forms to everyone else that has expressed interest in this thread*. There are still passes available and a couple of vehicle spots left!

*I emailed them to the email addresses that you have associated with your Focaljet member account. If you need them sent to another address, just let me know.

Also, Ford wanted me to pass along that the Hard Rock has a special Ford/SEMA rate of: $99. I would assume you mention that when booking. But, if you are interested and need additional info please let me know.

Wish I could join everyone there this year, looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. Also, anyone that still needs the forms can post here or PM me.

FYI,
I just booked a room at circus circus for $174 for monday check-in through friday check-out.

Thats $174 INCLUDING taxes for the whole week, not per night... I called them instead of booking online, got me thursday night free.

wtf i care how sketch it is (there is nothing wrong w/ the hotel)... i'll be spending so little time @ a hotel, it is vegas and sleep is for the weak.

Plus, I was just pointing out a cheaper option, just in case people didn't want to spend the $150/night that ford had for us.

To bump the thread, checking to see who all is heading out if not already there. It's only a couple hour drive for me so I'm going to be leaving early tomorrow morning. The thread I started in the SoCal section didn't seem to draw any posts and I was checking to see if anyone else from FJ was going to meet up for anything one of the nights.

Just got home for the night about an hour ago. I ended up getting to the show somewhat later than I hoped and missed the Ford press conference just before noon. About a third of the way to Vegas I lost the clutch release on my SRT-4 and had to turn around and limp it home using just first and fifth gear. Fun.

After leaving for the second time I got there a little after 2 PM. I'm not sure if a lot of the people are going to show up tomorrow, but it looks like the "Friends of Ford" didn't turn out so well in actually getting people to come out. They had stacks and stacks and stacks of the free t-shirts and when the lady was checking my name off the list I was on a page of probably forty other people and I was the only one that showed. Same thing digging through boxes of name tags trying to find mine.

As for the show I've heard it was a lot smaller than previous years and it was a little thin. Ford does have the biggest display and it runs the width of one of the halls with a lot of nice vehicles. I saw Randy near the FSWerks car but he was busy talking to other people. They've got a space near my two favorite Fords on display, the '09 Focus RS and the rally Fiesta.

I'm going to drive back out in the morning and wander around some of the vendor displays I didn't get to check out today. I got quite a few pictures and will grab some more tomorrow that should be up in the next day or two.

I can't imagine it being much bigger. That thing was huge. I only got to spend one afternoon, we missed a lot. But I got to drive the Fiesta, I'll sum that up in one word, underpowered. Got to ride along in a drift Corvette. Almost fainted at the sight of the RS. I was seriously hyperventilating. I love that car. The Subarus were awesome, I loved the Fiesta Rally Car. That whole show was crazy, only one I've been to, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I was dizzy by how many cool cars were there.

Any way, sure wish I could buy a Focus RS. Hope to go to SEMA next year too. Thanks for informing us about it.
