Probably because they didn't make any money on those, although I'd have loved if they or somebody else would have. Oh well, another couple decades and we'll be able to import them under the 25 year rule.

Their methods for importing these RS Cossies were on the not so well liked side and they were only able to import a few because their years vary on what they imported. I believe the 93-95 Escort Cossie is the only Cossie that is legal to be imported. They got shut down because of how they imported these Cossies. (IE the illegal version of what Kaizo did)

94-95 are the only ones that are DOT legal.

I've been doing some work recently fixing up the red one mentioned above. The "serious" issues aren't being dealt with because well, they aren't serious. I've just been fixing things like a sloppy shifter and some other interior bits. This car is FAST and FUN! I should note that it is believed to be the ONLY Escort Cossie in the US actually registered as a Ford rather than a Sun International. To some that may be important but who knows...

But seriously, someone buy it we need the room in the shop...

If I want a Cossie though I would go call my one friend who does imports, he can get me LHD or RHD at a good price.
