2009 Ford Focus by Creations n? Chrome
Creations n? Chrome has taken green technology to the extreme with its 2009 Ford Focus. The exterior starts with an outrageous green chrome finish using Cosmichrome water-based spray-on plating technology, 3dCarbon Euro Series six-piece body kit and lightweight Work Emotion wheels. To increase engine efficiency and aerodynamics, an FSWerks turbo kit and H&R coil-over suspension are added. The interior was custom refinished from top to bottom with House of Color paint and custom Katzkin leather. ![]() These guys even used an FSW turbo kit on their car.

OK, so the Ford press releases are out. I feel like I need to clarify a few things. First and most importantly, the 500 HP is at the CRANK, not the wheels. This is how we list power figures when we deal with auto shows because the general public just doesn't understand what wheel HP is and you don't have the opportunity to explain that in press releases. Also, Ford and car magazines don't list WHP so it just makes things more confusing for most who read about the car.
And I might regret saying this since it might deflate some of you, but this SEMA Focus isn't finished yet. I don't know if the current fuel set up will support the power we are aiming for. And we are running out of time. However, that is what we are going after. The press release was done a while ago. With SEMA projects you kind of have to say what you are going to do and THEN do it. A bit backwards, but that's how it is since SEMA proposals have to be submitted at the end of February and then you wait for several months before you find out if you are "in." I don't think the power goal is that hard to reach, but it might not be attainable with the current hardware and time that we have to complete the build. We will see. If we don't hit the numbers we want, we will hit them after SEMA. And actually, my personal goal is well over 500 hp at the crank and I know it can be done with this set up with some tweaks to the fuel system. I will hold off on the build details for now. Not sure if I will leak those before SEMA or just let the details come out at SEMA. I'm still kicking it around. Anyway, those are some of the things that are worth noting. We don't want to mislead people, so there you have it. Hopefully, some of you are still excited. ![]() We've got some plans for this car on the track.

If you aim for 500 and only hit 450, I'll still love you guys!

Well, we already know we can hit 396 WHP with our previous build. That's 455 HP at the crank. So what we are after isn't that much of a stretch, BUT the fueling is the hurdle. We just are out of time and have to work with what we have in order to make the deadline.

You didnt deflate my hopes. If even if the HP is at the crank. It is still a metric buttload of horses out of a 4cyl. And if you went w/ a different engine than the 2.0 or 2.3 then to me it falls in the "that is just cool" category.

Humm... no turbo pipes.. Curious if that's even a 2.3, IIRC the oil pan looks a little different from mine.
Maybe its a dry sump, ITB, all motor duratec track car. ![]()

Aww come on! If I can hit 500+whp with PUSHRODS you can do better!
![]() OK... i'm just busting your chops. I'm sure you can squeeze 450whp pretty easily. But if John could do it with a Zetec, woulden't a duratec be better? I say you add a water methanol injector and see what happens. Methanol is afterall a fuel -bix
