The man is HUGE, like 6'4" or something. I met him at the WRC in Germany around 2005 I think. Some where there is a 35mm negative of it.

Nice video, good to see alot of cars that are not talked about much in this video.

Words cannot describe the amount of respect I now have for someone i've only known for 9mins.

I cannot imagine having, using and enjoying that level of talent and being able to resume normal life after every race or session. That in itself, is amazing.

Just a tidbit on the second video. it starts out off the Nuerburgring on th esurounding back roads and then enters th etrack, running BACKWARDS. The best is that there is snow all along the track as well. Wet surface, plus super cold temps on the Ring sounds like fun!

I enjoyed seeing Mr. Rohrl at Laguna Seca at the Monterey Historics a few years back honoring Audi / Auto Union........he drove the Pike's Quattro for exhibitition and like a true hooligan did a full launch in the paddock, much to the crowd's pleasure and to General Racing's disdain.....

... too much traffic for his parade laps, but I am sure he wanted to get a little crazy....

my god, the sound, fury and acceleration of that car......

No, that was Ari Vatanen in a Peugeot. Ari won the WRC driver's championship (1981) between the two years (1980, 1982) that Walter won it.
