I gave more for it than I should have but I guess you can't really put a price on something like this.
To think that the original chassis,rearend,interior,body,wheels,and now the blower and intake along with a ton of small bits still exist today after all these years is really amazing,especially for a racecar.

Here's a picture I just received of the motor,it was taken during the magazine photo shoot in late 1967-early 1968 I'm guessing,this shot shows the best detail yet of the all-Buick powerplant.My dad ran an 8:71 blower as well which was forward thinking at the time,everyone else ran 6:71's:

Awesome story John.

Can't wait to see the pic's when you get it. I miss wrenching with my dad and he isn't even 60, but he works on cars all day long, everday but Sunday and just don't have the time anymore.

Those 430's were beasts!!

I owned a bunch over the years, blew a bunch up over the years as well

Weak oiling system and the 430 in normal use had a habit of forming pretty bad ridges in the tops of cylinders so when someone would get a hold of a babied grandpa driven 430 car and started beating on it the rings would hit the ridges and destroy the pistons, a buddy of mine killed a few that way.

You HAVE to post video with good sound when you get it fired up

I'm sure the one they've got in there (if it's still a 430) has been improved over the years.

That car is a VERY serious piece of Buick motorsports history. If you end up needing engine parts you only need to look as far as T/A Performance, they are the masters of all things Buick.

I'm starting to realize that more everyday...I know how much it means to others to see it too...so my plan is to get it to make some noise and show it off.
